Bye Bye Rodgers
Rodgers’ legacy would probably be best served by the quarterback retiring…
Let’s play a game based on the latest NFL news. I call it, “What was your favorite Jets playoff win with Aaron Rodgers?”
We’re still waiting.
🚨 BREAKING: The #NYJets are moving on from Aaron Rodgers at QB! 🏈💥

The New York Jets have gone public about their breakup with Aaron Rodgers. This is a bit like your friend announcing they are not dating a supermodel, but here we are fam.
I guess there was a scenario where the Jets went with Rodgers for another season based on his bloated $112 million contract. Yet, we kind of all saw this coming.
Okay, so no playoff wins with Rodgers, and the Jets won a total of 12 games during the two years of the A-Rod tenure in New York. This really isn’t accurate as Rodgers only played in the first game in 2024.
So, six wins for Rodgers in Gotham City. Makes you miss the Zach Wilson era, huh? Btw, the Jets won seven games during Wilson’s final season as the Jets QB1. So if you’re scoring at home, the Jets won more games with Wilson as starting quarterback in 2023 than the entire Rodgers era.
For everything you’ve given us the past two years, thank you 8 🤟 pic.twitter.com/JvPneWMgEI

So, two seasons, six wins, and countless segments on ESPN. We can’t wait for Rodgers’ tell-all on The Pat McAfee Show about how the Jets just didn’t understand him.
How Old Is Aaron Rodgers?
Aaron Rodgers’ age is 41 years old, and the sad thing is how his career ends will impact how his career is perceived by NFL fans. This was a really good quarterback as his Super Bowl ring indicates as well as all the Aaron Rodgers stats.

But nothing goes on forever. Like, when was the last time you listened to Chingy or Nelly (or maybe even knew who they were)? Rodgers’ best days appear to be over which is more than okay.
I can’t blame someone for taking NFL checks until they stop offering them, but Rodgers’ legacy would probably be best served by the quarterback retiring. NFL betting odds are sure to drop on Rodgers’ next team.
Where Will Aaron Rodgers Play Next?
There is no slam dunk for where Rodgers will play next, but the NFL rumors are sure to start swirling. The Raiders just signed a soon-to-be 74-year-old head coach in Pete Carroll. Maybe Vegas looks for old folks’ sponsorships and signs Rodgers as well.
The Raiders need a quarterback and could miss out on both Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward in the NFL draft. Cleveland is another team potentially in the market for a new quarterback. The Colts and Steelers are two additional teams who could kick the tires on Rodgers.

Almost all of these teams would be better off finding a quarterback through the draft. Yet, that doesn’t guarantee you countless hours on First Take.
