Aaron Rodgers Is (Almost) 40 and Thriving

After 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers will wear a New York Jets jersey in 2023.

Rodgers has his hopes up about meeting ‘the voice of God’…

Rodgers had initially contemplated retirement following some complications in Green Bay last year. However, his new outlook on life sees him playing with the Jets for more than just one season.

I’m having a blast,” Rodgers said at the start of training camp, per Jets reporter Ethan Greenberg. “I don’t see this as a one-year-and-done thing.”

The four-time MVP signed a new two-year, $75 million fully-guaranteed deal with the New York Jets Wednesday. Rodgers had $110M guaranteed on his old contract with the Packers, and now he’s taking a $35M pay cut to play with the Jets.

Rodgers Doesn’t Seem to Mind

The Jets gave up a lot for me, so to play just one year would be a disservice,” Rodgers said. “Now if that one year turns out to be a magical year, who knows?

In previous NFL news, we saw that Rodgers led the Packers to an 8-9 2022 season as he threw for 3,695 yards (64.6 completion percentage), 26 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Meanwhile, the Jets went 7-10 under second-year quarterback Zach Wilson and Mike White.

With Rodgers in town, Wilson has been demoted to the team’s primary backup QB.

No matter what happens to the Jets in 2023, it will be a year to remember as the team’s season will be featured on HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’, which Rodgers is not too thrilled about.

They forced it down our throats and we have to deal with it,” Rodgers told KPIX earlier this month.

Despite not being excited about the cameras following his every single move this season, Rodgers has his hopes up about meeting “the voice of God,” the legendary man who narrates the show.

We’ll get a first look at Rodgers in his new shade of green when the New York Jets square off against the Buffalo Bills for some Monday Night Football action on September 11, an exciting opportunity for fans to bet on NFL.
