Looking Jacked 💪

It could’ve been an ugly day on the shoot, but we saved her. – Brock Purdy

Brock Purdy is here to stay after a very impressive 2023 season that saw him be a finalist in the MVP race. Brock Purdy’s stats as a rookie were not a fluke as he improved in almost every category in his second year. There’s no reason to think he’ll be any worse considering how much work he’s putting in.

The 49ers QB isn’t exactly known for his size but he’s clearly been in the weight room. A picture of Purdy doing some offseason throwing drills made the NFL news rounds online and the quarterback is looking pretty ripped.

The NFL season didn’t end that long ago for Purdy and the 49ers but the quarterback doesn’t appear to have stopped working. It was a disappointing end to the year with the team losing to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl for the second time in five seasons.

Purdy wants to be the quarterback who gets the 49ers over the hump and he’s working hard to make it happen. Being buff as a quarterback isn’t super necessary but considering Purdy isn’t a smaller quarterback, it’s a good idea for him to bulk up.

Eventful Offseason for Brock Purdy

We’re only a couple of months into the offseason but it has been an eventful one for Purdy. Not only did he get swole but he also married his college sweetheart Jenna Brandt just a couple of weeks ago.

The eventfulness didn’t even stop there. Purdy is also responsible for saving a reporter from a coyote during a commercial shoot.

“We’re shooting this commercial on a hill on the outside of the city,” Purdy said on the Pat McAfee Show. “I see this thing trotting by that has a big tail. I was like, ‘That looks like a mini wolf.’ No one else was gonna scream, so I screamed, ‘Yo, there’s a coyote!’ That thing went running off. It could’ve been an ugly day on the shoot, but we saved her.”

Now, I’ve encountered many coyotes growing up in California and they aren’t really eager to attack people, especially when the people are in groups. It’s not like Purdy fought a grizzly bear to save a little girl but the reporter was walking her dog so he may have saved the dog, who was much more likely to be attacked by the coyote. Regardless, Purdy has been up to a lot this offseason and it’s probably not slowing down anytime soon.
