Short-Lived 2024
It’s almost hard to explain to a non-NFL fan just how bad the Panthers are…
The Carolina Panthers have been the laughing stock of the NFL for some time now, which reached its peak when the Panthers traded their number-one pick in the 2024 draft (which ended up being Caleb Williams) and DJ Moore to the Bears for…Bryce Young.
Andy Dalton will start as QB for the @Panthers in Week 3, benching Bryce Young after a rough start to the season. 🏈💔
🏟️🔄 Will this be a temporary break for Young or a longer-term shift? 🤔 #NFL #KeepPoundinghttps://t.co/h20K6O2lEv

At the time, it was already a controversial move, but just like a nice glass of milk, the trade has aged poorly. Young has proved nothing during his time in Carolina, and after just two starts into this season, Young has been benched. In recent NFL news, Andy Dalton has officially taken over as the starter in Carolina.
Rock Bottom
It’s almost hard to explain to a non-NFL fan just how bad the Panthers are. I truly believe the 2021 Alabama team that Bryce Young led to the College Football Championship could beat the 2024 Panthers.
Bryce Young threw for just 84 yards against the Chargers yesterday, while the Panthers managed just three points. He is now 2-16 as a starter in the NFL, and even after the coach changes the Panthers went through in the offseason, there seems to be no improvement.
After all, it’s now been 273 days since the Panthers have had the lead in a game.

Moving On
Bryce Young may just go down as one of the biggest busts in NFL history, and there have been some pretty bad ones. Thus, the Panthers have made the tough decision and have benched him for the NFL vet Andy Dalton. Dalton is in his 14th season in the NFL and will take over as the week three starter. While the expectations are through the floor for the Panthers, there’s nowhere to go but up for this team.

Who knows, maybe with Dalton at the helm, with his experience, they can win a few games, because it looked like the Panthers were headed for an 0-17 season with Young under center.
