Iconic Interception 🤝 Iconic Handshake
The shake, the hip bump, the switch. It was a chef’s kiss.
I didn’t catch the Vikings vs Jets game live (whoops), but when I saw that Camryn Bynum and Josh Metellus celebrated an interception with The Parent Trap handshake, I knew I’d missed out on one of the best NFL moments of the season. We’ve got gritty football, iconic movie callbacks, and Bynum clearly out here reppin’ one of the greatest Lindsay Lohan moments of all time.
I love that Bynum went full Parent Trap mode. After picking off Aaron Rodgers during the Vikings’ 23-17 win over the Jets in London (because, duh, it had to happen in London), Bynum and Metellus hit us with the ultimate throwback—the handshake from the 1998 classic. You know the one. Lindsay Lohan’s British character, Annie, does it with her butler, Martin.
Can we officially nominate this as the “Celebration of the year”? 😂 #SKOL #NFLpic.twitter.com/7uG9qU35z0

The Handshake We Didn’t Know We Needed
It’s not every day you see NFL players break out of Disney routines after a big play, but I’m so glad this happened. Bynum later explained that he’d rewatched the movie last week, knowing they’d be in London. It’s the kind of thought process we need more of in professional sports. Why just celebrate when you can add some movie magic to the mix?
And let’s be real, The Parent Trap needs more love, especially in the current era of entertainment rumors and endless remakes. It’s refreshing to see someone pay homage to a true classic.
It’s a long flight from Minnesota to London.

Bynum nailed it too. The handshake wasn’t some half-hearted attempt, it was spot-on. He and Metellus got the whole routine down: the shake, the hip bump, the switch. It was a chef’s kiss. Even NFL fans on social media lost their minds, posting everything from “movie nostalgia goals” to “best celebration of the season.”
Camryn Bynum Stats and Vikings’ Winning Streak
Oh, and let’s not forget that this all happened during a solid win for the Vikings, improving their record to 5-0. Bynum’s been having a great season so far, and this interception just added to his growing list of highlights.
Camryn Bynum’s stats are trending for a reason. This guy’s clearly prepared both on and off the field, having a movie celebration in his back pocket while handling business against Rodgers and the Jets. With NFL games this season feeling like a whirlwind of unpredictable plays, and NFL rumors, having some good old-fashioned fun like this is exactly what we need.

So, cheers to Camryn Bynum for bringing The Parent Trap to NFL news. I didn’t think I could love that movie more, but seeing it celebrated on the field has me convinced it’s truly timeless.
