Time to Panic? 🥴

For now, it’s looking like another wasted season for the Giants…

Everybody knew it was a dumb decision when the NFL news dropped that the New York Giants were giving Daniel Jones a $160 million contract. He was an average quarterback getting paid like a star. The hope was that he’d continue to get better but that has not been the case.

In fact, he’s been getting a lot worse and barely looks like an NFL quarterback at all. Unfortunately for the Giants, things are starting to get really toxic between the quarterback and the fan base.

Fans are harassing him after games asking for money.

Some fans think he’s so bad that he’ll be in the CFL next year.

It’s hard to blame the fans. Jones is truly terrible at playing quarterback. Since signing his contract, he has thrown more pick-sixes than he has touchdown passes.

This doesn’t seem like a situation that will get better before it gets worse, which is bad news for head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen.

What Will the Giants Do?

The Giants wanted to draft Drake Maye this year, according to NFL rumors, so they’re interested in making a change at quarterback. However, they don’t have great options on the roster right now but there’s a good chance Drew Lock eventually starts games.

For now, it’s looking like another wasted season for the Giants. Daniel Jones’ stats are already horrible and it’s hard to see them getting much better. Daboll might be on the hottest seat in the NFL. He’s supposed to be a quarterback guru but Jones is dreadful.

Now, it might not be his fault. Jones might just be that bad and it wasn’t Daboll’s decision to pay him. Regardless, things aren’t looking good in New York and the Giants are almost certainly going to be in the market for a quarterback this offseason.
