“I’m certain I’m not playing again,” Brady told Sports Illustrated’s Robin Lundberg. “So I’ve tried to make that clear and I have to continue to profess that because I’ve already told people that lots of times. But I’m looking forward to my broadcasting job at Fox next year. I’m looking forward to the opportunity ahead with the Raiders along with the other different things I’m a part of professionally and in my personal life.”
This NFL offseason has been a whirlwind for the seven-time Super Bowl winner. First, he retires and goes through with a divorce from his supermodel wife, then he becomes a cat dad and now he’s on tap to own the Las Vegas Raiders. It was also rumored that Brady could start under center for LA if he wanted to.

Vegas’ current starting quarterback is Jimmy Garoppolo, but following a failed physical due to a foot injury, there is absolutely no guarantee that he will be ready to play at the start of the 2023 season. NFL rumors began swirling that Tom Brady could replace him as QB1, which would’ve made him the first owner/player combo ever!
But Brady was quick to shut those rumors down, as the future Raiders owner is in favor of Garoppolo starting front and center for Vegas, despite what’s going on with his foot.
“I was part of Josh’s system for a very long time and he and I have an incredible working relationship,” Brady said. “And I know Jimmy very well too. I’ve known him for nine years and he’s a very talented guy. So I’m always pulling for him and I’ve always pulled for him.”

An NFL world without Brady feels weird and unsettling. But he’s made it extremely clear now that it’s time for all of us to move on without him.
