Doesn’t Rodgers Have Anything Better to Do?

Regardless of what side you’re on, this whole conversation is annoying…

We’re almost done with 2023 and we’re still talking about vaccines thanks to Aaron Rodgers and Travis Kelce. It all started when Kelce, who is apparently the face of the NFL now thanks to Taylor Swift, started doing commercials for the pharmaceutical company Pfizer where he promoted taking the COVID-19 vaccine.

Rodgers, who is notoriously anti-big pharma, started taking shots at Kelce and calling him “Mr. Pfizer.” That led to Kelce clapping back and making fun of Rodgers for playing for the New York Jets, which is owned by Woody Johnson, who is the heir to the Johnson & Johnson company—a company that also developed a COVID-19 vaccine.

Now Rodgers is back on the attack and wants to debate.

“Mr. Pfizer said he didn’t think he’d be in a vax war with me. This ain’t a war, homie, this is conversation,” Rodgers said on the Pat McAfee show.

“But if you want to have some sort of duel, debate, have me on the podcast. Come on the show! Let’s have a conversation. Let’s do it like in ‘John Wick 4,’ so we both have a second — someone to help us out.”

Rodgers pitched that Kelce could have Dr. Anthony Fauci on his side and the quarterback would take presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Sigh… I guess we’re back to having vaccine debates. Look, regardless of what side you’re on, this whole conversation is annoying and the last people who should be leading the charge is f*cking Aaron Rodgers and Travis Kelce. But here we are.

Luckily, there’s no way this debate is ever going to happen. We’re squashing this before NFL rumors go crazy. Kelce’s got way too many good things going on with his brand thanks to his new girlfriend. Why risk making himself look stupid in a debate or coming off as some kind of shill for big pharma?

Rodgers doesn’t have anything going on right now so I won’t fault him for having some run. Kelce is an easy target right now because he’s in the news so much. Good for Rodgers for figuring out how to stay relevant in the NFL news despite being out with an injury.

While Kelce would be better off just ignoring Rodgers, he might be tempted to clap back. He does have an army of Swifties on his side for now. Rodgers could be fighting a losing battle. Once the Swifties turn on you, it’s over. Here’s hoping this is the last we have to hear about the vaccine debate between two meatheads who get hit in the head for a living.
