Can’t Make This Sh*t Up! 😮
This year also will likely mark the end of Bill Belichick’s reign in New England…
Football came and (almost) went for 2023 but the NFL news gave us some real bangers. Did anything happen besides Taylor Swift?
Sure, we’re in a new era, but let’s start with T-Swift just for fun.
Taylor Swift as Lifelong NFL Superfan (Since 2023)
You really thought we were going to talk about 2023 and NOT mention T-Swift? Do you think my paycheck would be cash if that happened?
It is hard to ignore the impact Swift had on this season. I mostly think it’s been positive and has the potential to bring more fans to the game.

Do we need 50 cutaways to Swift’s suite during games? Probably not, but do we need to see Andy Reid’s mustache every 10 minutes either?
Shake it off, haters. Taylor is here to stay.
Mike McDaniel Is Super Weird And We’re Here for It
The Dolphins are having a moment, and it all starts with head coach Mike McDaniel. You may know him as the first coach in NFL history to wear man capris on the sideline.

McDaniel is so weird that it’s endearing. I’ll take the quirky coach over the robots 10 out of 10 times. It also helps that the Fins are among the top AFC teams.
The Hard Knocks boost doesn’t hurt either.

Bill Belichick’s Reign Is Collapsing But He Gave Us a Thirst Trap Video
This year also will likely mark the end of Bill Belichick’s reign in New England. There are plenty of NFL rumors that indicate owner Robert Kraft is prepared to move on from Billy B at the end of the season.
A breakup may be good for both parties, and Belichick would be wise to relinquish personnel duties at his next stop. What can’t be debated is this amazing thirst trap video of Belichick that was leaked with no context.
A Ton of Coaches Are Going to Get Fired
We all remember a world where Brandon Staley and Josh McDaniels were head coaches.
Unfortunately, both of those coaches were so bad they got fired on their day off.
The Chargers and Raiders are finishing the season with interim coaches. But all is not lost.
Brandon Staley gave us weird stretching GIFs. Honestly, McDaniels didn’t give us much except that literally not being in the building was celebrated with cigars and a Super Bowl-like atmosphere after Las Vegas’ first win without the coach.
That’s when you know you were really despised.

Quarterbacks Can’t Stop Getting Injured
If there is a second storyline behind Taylor Swift, it could be the continuous injuries to starting quarterbacks. We saw several QBs suffer season-ending injuries including Aaron Rodgers, Joe Burrow, Kirk Cousins, Justin Herbert, Anthony Richardson, Daniel Jones, and Deshaun Watson.

The NFL playoffs may feature several teams with QB2s as their starter. Not exactly a must-see television.
We Hope Tommy Devito’s Agent Cashed In
We all remember those 13 days when people couldn’t stop talking about Tommy Devito’s agent Sean Stellato. Then it got kind of weird when NFL news broke that Stellato had strong-armed a local pizza joint by attempting to up the price for Devito’s appearance.
Devito has since been benched and chances are we won’t see his agent again unless he is needed as an extra on a “Sopranos” reboot.

Remember When No One Wanted to Trade for Lamar Jackson?
What a turn of events it has been in Baltimore. Just a few months ago, Jackson posted on social media that he had requested a trade.
The quarterback did not appear to have a ton of suitors in the trade market. This reality has been debated as there is some skepticism over whether the Ravens would have dealt Jackson.
Ultimately, the Ravens stepped up and signed Jackson to a new deal. Now, Action Jackson is the favorite to win NFL MVP.
The Broncos Cooked Russ
Russell Wilson’s days of deserving a $240 million contract were likely over before they started. It will be interesting to see who the Broncos blame once Russ has officially been run out of town.
Wilson proved he is not a bad quarterback, but this whole saga distracts from the reality that Denver has problems beyond their QB1.
