Still the GOAT 🐐

I just got too serious… – Tom Brady

Tom Brady has played hundreds of NFL games over the course of his career and established a legacy as arguably the greatest quarterback who ever graced the gridiron. But he has one major regret and he shared it recently on The Pivot podcast with Ryan Clark.

Brady’s Lament

Tom Brady career stats include a number of mind-blowing records over the 20 years he spent making NFL news. All seven of Tom Brady’s Super Bowl wins establish him as the winningest quarterback of all time, therefore, it’s interesting to note that TB12 has any regrets at all.

I mean, c’mon man. What the hell more does he want? Tom Brady’s net worth is approximately $350 million. Just let that sink in for a moment. The average dude is deciding whether going to the bar is worth the extra dough rather than draining a six-pack in the comfort of his own living room. Tom Brady has no such concerns, but then again, he’s not your average dude.

So, after two decades of dominance, seven Super Bowl rings, and having more hardware on his mantle than Home Depot, what could he possibly regret? Did I mention the supermodel ex, the legions of beautiful babes begging for some Tommy juice, and being pals with just about anyone who’s anyone? I don’t know what kind of deal he made with the devil but I’ll take what he’s having.

More Fun Dammit!

Brady was recently on The Pivot podcast with Ryan Clark and he shared his one regret. Here’s what he had to say:

“When I see these young players, I see like Patrick [Mahomes] out there at quarterback, running around, laughing, having fun, I’m like, ‘I used to be like that. What the hell happened?’” Brady shared.

He added, “I just got too serious, but, again, I can only look back and think, ‘Okay, if I do it again, which I’ll never do it again, I would be different.’ But the reality is, you can’t.”

I’m a big fan of Tom Brady but all I have to say is boo-f*cking hoo. He didn’t have enough fun? Isn’t winning fun? Like isn’t winning playoff games and Super Bowls the ultimate in fun? I think TB12 is just trying to find something that he shares with the common man.

Regrets are most definitely a common denominator but had Brady decided to tone down his competitive nature, skipped happily into the huddle, and shook his moneymaker every time AC/DC blared over the sound system at the Razor, he wouldn’t have enjoyed his unprecedented career.

Playing in the NFL is not the stuff of Hallmark greeting cards. Laughing off a broken route or shrugging your shoulders when your offensive line plays the matador defense and gets you absolutely pummeled is not a recipe for success.

But Brady knows this and he wouldn’t change a thing…even if he says he would.
