Can You Blame the Kid?
Oh, the dramas of this week’s soccer news couldn’t get any more pathetic, and we’re eagerly anticipating the stupid punishment to come. Let me get you up to speed so you can laugh along with me.

Following a friendly win over Guatemala last Friday, the Ecuadorian men’s national soccer team took their after-game celebrations to a strip club. It was Friday, spirits were high, and the team obviously wanted to support the hard-working women who tirelessly supply excellent service.
No problem with that, right?
Umm, maybe not, because Kendry Paez, a Chelsea FC hyped-up teenage sensation, was taken along for the festivities, and the Ecuador national federation is pissed! Technically, he’s still a minor, aged just 16, and he was embracing the breasts and booty alongside his senior teammates.
Ecuador’s Minister of Sports, Andrés Guschmer reveals discussions with Paez over the party incident:
“I spoke with Kendry, he is destroyed, emotionally very beaten, what I told him as a person is not to make these types of mistakes again, because he can pay dearly, to not make… pic.twitter.com/WnietWZrBM

Get Over It, Let It Go
Now, in the latest soccer rumors, the ENF has allegedly threatened to remove certain senior members from the squad. Which, in my opinion, is a bit dramatic.
When it comes to positions of power, you’ve always got some suit attempting to make an example out of someone. However, let’s be serious; the kid’s probably spent more days binging PornHub in the last two years than he’s scored goals.
I understand he’s only 16, but come on, he’s making his own decisions. It’s not like he was forced into the strip club, and he’s innocently bonding with the team in the best way… surrounded by a bunch of babes, of course.
🇪🇨Ecuador’s players, Roberto Arboleda (32), Gonzalo Plata (23) and Kendry Paez (16), were filmed in an adult club in NY when they spread bills on the strippers. The FEF will most probably take disciplinary actions, especially against Paez, who is underagepic.twitter.com/TvqsoiKCfa

Dollar Dollar Bills Yo
The clip that’s gone viral on social media shows Gonzalo Plata, Roberto Arboleda, and Paez in the NY strip club throwing money on the strippers–exactly how it should be done.
No, I’m not going to dramatize this like most media outlets will, acting like somebody has caused serious bodily harm or aggravated assault; it’s a bunch of men enjoying themselves, and if the repercussions go beyond anything besides a fine and a warning, I’d be disappointed in humankind.
Paez, sure, he’s 16, but he’s a boy amongst men. If officials believe these occurrences are so damaging, perhaps they should rethink their professional rules and age limits instead of mixing growing young men with adults.
