Everyone can think and say what they want, but Chris is a great player… – Stefano Pioli

A year after giving his cojones for his country, Christian Pulisic continues to headline the soccer news. Pulisic was named the U.S. Soccer Player of the Year for the fourth time in his career.

After a bumpy stop at Chelsea creating plenty of soccer rumors, Pulisic is living his best life in Italy at AC Milan. Through the first 18 matches, Pulisic already has 6 goals and 5 assists with his new club. AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli explained why Pulisic’s stock continues to rise.

Everyone can think and say what they want, but Chris is a great player,” Pioli explained, per Goal.com. “He has quality, intensity and willingness. He’s scoring a lot too which isn’t always easy for a winger. He can play in several roles. He is a great guy in the way he approaches and prepares for a game.”

What is Pulisic’s ceiling? Let’s take a look at Pulsic’s future which is so bright that USMNT supporters may need shades.

Christian Pulisic Has Work to Do to Be Like Landon Donovan and Clint Dempsey

We are seeing American players have more international success than ever before. So far, it has not led to results when it comes to wearing the United States crest.

For Pulisic to be in the USMNT GOAT conversation with the likes of Landon Donovan and Clint Dempsey, we need to see more success in international tournaments. Donovan was part of the USA squad that made the 2002 World Cup quarterfinals. The star also shined in 2010 scoring clutch goals in South Africa.

The biggest test of all will be 2026 as the United States plays host to the World Cup. For now, Pulisic and the young Eagles will be tested in the upcoming months at Copa America.

Christian Pulisic on Copa America: ‘The Goal Is to Win the Tournament

Pulisic and the USMNT will get a World Cup tune-up as the United States hosts Copa America soccer games. The star has set the bar high noting that the USMNT has a chance to win the tournament.

There’s no measure to say exactly, ‘If we get this far, that’s success’,” Pulisic told The Athletic. “We’re going in with the mentality (of) taking it game by game and, of course, the goal is to win the tournament — always when you go into a tournament — so that’s how we look at things.

We have a good young team and this is a great opportunity for us to play against the world’s best and hopefully show the world what we can do.

I’m bullish on Pulisic’s career moving forward, but I want to see more trophies for his country for the star to be able to enter the UMSNT GOAT status.
