Christmas in the Big Apple 🍎
That’s just how it goes when you’re Vini Jr…
One of the best soccer players in the world spent Christmas not in Brazil or Madrid, but in New York City, doing cool stuff with even cooler people. Vini Jr. posted his soccer news-worthy NYC highlight reel yesterday, and it’s basically a flex disguised as an Instagram carousel.
Of course, the Instagram carousel starts with Rihanna. I mean, what else are you going to lead with? While the rest of us were on the couch regretting our second plate of Christmas dinner and listening to Rihanna songs, Vini was hanging with RiRi and setting the tone for the rest of his NYC adventure.

MSG on Christmas
Vini hit up Madison Square Garden for the Knicks vs. Spurs Christmas Day game because why not? He saw Victor Wembanyama drop buckets, but the real action came after the game.
He swapped jerseys with Josh Hart, which was cool, but the real moment came when he handed Carmelo Anthony a signed Vini Jr. jersey. They both wear No. 7, so it felt like a little shoutout between two legends. Melo looked pretty hyped holding it up, saying, “You got the right number too.”

And because Vini doesn’t do anything halfway, he also linked up with Chris Paul after the game. That’s just how it goes when you’re Vini Jr., you roll into MSG, watch the game, and leave with half the legends in the building on your highlight reel.
From Soccer Fields to NBA Games
Watching Vini Jr. at NBA games is a reminder that he’s not just a soccer star, he’s a global name who can take over any court or field. Between meeting Rihanna, posing with Wemby, and pulling off an elite jersey exchange, he made his Christmas look better than ours.

I’ll give it to him: when Vini Jr. decides to take a break from soccer, he doesn’t mess around.
