Today, I would say Clark, only because they have one more win overall as a team…
Heading into WNBA games this season, it seemed like a foregone conclusion that Caitlin Clark would win the Rookie of the Year award if she stayed healthy. Angel Reese was really good in college but there’s a reason she fell to the seventh pick in the draft.

Reese had a rough start to her rookie season but has improved her play recently. Her stats are comparable to Caitlin Clark’s stats as she’s averaging 14.1 points a game and leads the WNBA in rebounds with 11.9 a game. As good as Clark has been, she doesn’t lead the league in any major category the same way Reese does.
According to WNBA news and BetUS odds, Clark is the favorite to win the Rookie of the Year but Reese is right behind her. What might keep Clark ahead of Reese is that the Indiana Fever has been slightly better than the Chicago Sky.

“Today, I would say Clark, only because they have one more win overall as a team and have a 2-1 lead head-to-head,” voter Christy Winters-Scot told AP. “Clearly this could change as the WNBA season progresses. It has been a complete joy for me to witness how both players have evolved as professionals in such a short amount of time in the league.”

Can Angel Reese Pull off the Upset?
It’s no secret that the animosity that Reese feels toward Clark. She basically said that she believes the increase in women’s basketball’s popularity is just as much due to her as it is to Clark. She was also seen celebrating when her teammate gave Clark a cheapshot when the Sky and Fever played.
Nothing would bring Reese more delight than to steal the WNBA Rookie of the Year award from Clark. It still seems unlikely. Reese’s stats look good on paper but people are already making fun of her for padding her rebound stats with offensive rebounds she’s grabbing off of her misses.
“My rookie of the year is going to go based on the standings. … And the Sky right now are in the playoffs. So, you’d have to give the nod in my mind to Angel Reese.”

Clark is likely to still win the award, according to WNBA rumors, but it’s nice to see that the rivalry between the two is still heated as ever.
