Another Day, Another Slay

It’s a dress that I was like ‘It’s giving basketball net’. – A’ja Wilson

Every day, we are bombarded with moments in fashion that make our alarms blare. As a new member of the fashion police team, I have strong opinions on the ensembles worn on the WNBA All-Star Game 2024 Orange Carpet.

Join us on Telegram to be a part of the conversation! 😎

We will be covering the highs of the night, including Kelsey Plum’s perfect revenge fit, Caitlin Clark serving in a sparkly sheer Armani minidress, and many more outfits that are making WNBA news headlines.

Hailey Van Lith

Hailey Van Lith may not be a member of the WNBA just yet, but she did make an appearance at the prestigious Orange Carpet event during WNBA All-Star Weekend on Thursday.

Van Lith was in Phoenix as a USA Basketball’s 3×3 team member, preparing for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics. Unsurprisingly, she caused quite a stir with her fashion choice at last night’s event.

“It’s all Alexander Wang,” Van Lith told Yahoo Sports. “I wanted to do a little suit moment but it’s hot out here so we went with the shorts.” We love a weather-conscious queen.

Sophie Cunningham

WNBA players are known for their incredibly toned legs, almost as if they were sculpted by the gods themselves. Whenever one of them wears a short dress, it’s impossible not to be dazzled. Sophie Cunningham is a prime example of this; at the orange carpet event, she donned a pink mini dress that could have easily been mistaken for something from the Barbie press tour.

A’ja Wilson

Another player who stunned the orange carpet was A’ja Wilson. She wore a one-shoulder dress with multiple cutouts, all in black. Staying on trend in 2024, Wilson paired her look with strappy black heels and a sleek black clutch.

“It’s Julie Colquitt 101,” she shouted out the small Scottish designer. “It’s a dress that I was like ‘It’s giving basketball net,’ and I love what I do and I like putting it into fashion.”

Shakira Austin

Shakira Austin of the Mystics wore the cutest fit of the night, in my humble opinion. She rocked the popular peekaboo bra trend on the orange carpet at the WNBA All-Star Weekend and completed her look with a bomber jacket and matching skirt set, along with a bralette and stylish pointed-toe boots. It’s giving everything good about Y2K.

Caitlin Clark

It’s no surprise that with the impressive Caitlin Clark stats, she would join the All-Star team. On the orange carpet, she looked sexy as hell, and as always, she was adorably awkward as she told reporters what she was wearing.

For the occasion, Clark donned an Armani dress. The mini dress was made of a semi-sheer material in a sandy color and had long sleeves and a form-fitting skirt. The bodice of the dress had a loose, flowing shape with slightly gathered cuffs on Clark’s sleeves.

Sabrina Ionescu

Sabrina Ionescu’s beauty is nearly impossible to diminish, especially with her god-like legs. This fact remained true even on the red carpet of the WNBA All Star event, where she stood next to her husband wearing a fashionable oversized blazer over a tight black skirt and tank top, completed with sleek black pointed heels.

Kelsey Plum

Kelsey Plum, another perfectly toned statuesque beauty looked drop-dead gorgeous in her skirt and crop top combo. “Marni head to toe,” Plum told Yahoo Sports. “My stylist Sydney put it together.”

I can’t imagine how good it feels to remain this hot after a divorce. She ate and we hope Darren Waller is crying about it somewhere.

Aliyah Boston

Aliyah Boston looked breathtaking! “OFUURE. Black-owned business,” Boston told a reporter from Women Hooping. “We have the corset top with the pants and the trench coat. Actually, I feel like it’s just me. I love a crop top and I love a good moment.”

When asked about her inspiration, she responded, “I feel like I just wanted to be me like I said I’m a big crop top girl and I feel like this just kind of gives like grown.”
