Russ x Georgia Went Off 🔥
This has never happened before… – Russell Westbrook
Russell Westbrook has been making fashion headlines for years. I’m talking Vogue spreads, GQ profiles, full-page analysis of his tunnel fits like we’re studying scripture. And now, he’s bringing Georgia Amoore with him.

NBA x WNBA x Fashion
The 2025 WNBA Draft wasn’t just a sports moment, it was a fashion history moment. For the first time ever, an active NBA player styled a WNBA draft pick. Westbrook, who launched his fashion label Honor the Gift in 2017, designed Amoore’s custom cropped blazer and miniskirt combo for the Orange Carpet. And let’s not mince words here: our girl looked gorgeous. And she only had two demands: a cropped blazer and a skirt. Westbrook delivered.

“This has never happened before,” Westbrook told Vogue, and he’s right. No athlete dressing another athlete for a draft? Definitely not across leagues. But fashion and sports have always been linked—just scroll through NBA games and WNBA tunnel walk clips and tell me otherwise. This was overdue and a testament to the inextricable tie between sports and fashion, and more importantly, the budding relationship between the NBA and WNBA.
MY story. HER story. OUR story.

Georgia’s Moment
For Georgia, this was a glow-up moment but also a major introduction. She’s 5’6″ with a deadly shot, a floor general who spent four seasons at Virginia Tech before transferring to Kentucky and going OFF with a career-high 19.6 points per game. She’s headed to the Washington Mystics now, and if WNBA rumors are anything to go by, she’s expected to be a game-changer in the backcourt this WNBA season.

Honestly, the collab makes sense. Russell Westbrook stats show he’s one of the most aggressive, stylish, no-notes players in the league. Amoore’s game is fast, smart, and confident. She deserved a fit to match. And even though she called herself a “simple girl,” when the jewels started stacking, she leaned in. “The more you put on, the more you want,” she told Vogue.
So, when does the WNBA season start? It’s just a month away, with the first of the WNBA games starting Friday, May 16. See you there, babes!
