It’s not just a luxury for me, it’s a luxury for everybody around me. – Angel Reese

Angel Reese recently made WNBA news by discussing her net worth, and spoiler: her days of struggling to make rent off her WNBA salary are long gone. Now? She’s balling in every sense of the word.

Hell Yeah, Angel!

At ComplexCon over the weekend, Reese sat down for a live interview and discussed the hot topic of the “Angel Reese net worth.” Host Speedy told her Google estimated it at $2 million and asked, “Is it way off? Is it close?” Reese didn’t hold back, saying, “Way off.”

Speedy then asked what it’s like to be financially stable, and Reese shared, “It’s not just a luxury for me, it’s a luxury for everybody around me. I can pay my mom’s mortgage, my family, everybody’s taken care of. I bring my friends here. Two of my friends, bring them on PJs whenever… They love this. They meet Beyoncé… Jay-Z… All my friends eat. One thing about me, I have a really good circle around me.”

Okay, Angel. If she’s eating, her circle is eating too. We love that! And can we talk about Beyoncé and Jay-Z being part of her glow-up? Iconic. But even though she’s crushing it financially, the Angel Reese salary isn’t thanks to the WNBA. She made headlines last month for saying, “The WNBA don’t pay my bills, I don’t even think it pays one of my bills,” so it’s clear her endorsement deals are doing all the heavy lifting.

And let’s be real, that rookie WNBA salary—reportedly $73,439—doesn’t exactly scream “invited to the Met Gala.” Imagine showing up to the Met Gala on $75K. I’d be hiding in the bathroom in a Shein mini-dress, trying not to cry. Thankfully, Reese is making the bag with deals from Reese’s (the candy, obviously), Reebok, Beats by Dre, and McDonald’s.

Even though Reese didn’t spill her exact net worth, she’s clearly thriving. And if Angel’s living the good life, it’s safe to bet Caitlin Clark and Cameron Brink, the other big-name rookies, are raking in endorsement cash too. Honestly, it’s about time. As a girl who grew up playing and loving women’s basketball, it’s refreshing to see Bayou Barbie and her peers finally getting paid what they deserve—and flying private while they’re at it. Hopefully, with the growing public interest in the WNBA, the Angel Reese stats alone will soon be enough to land her a seven-figure payday.
