Repeat? 🔁🔥
Cloud brings defense, leadership, and great playmaking; and she’s loud about it!
The New York Liberty are dead serious about going back-to-back, and their latest move in WNBA news is proof: Natasha Cloud is heading to New York. The roster was already stacked, and now they’ve added one of the best defensive guards in the league. Fair fight? Not really.
Cloud’s been on the move all offseason. First, she got traded from Phoenix to Connecticut in that big four-team deal that sent Satou Sabally to Dallas. There were plenty of WNBA rumors about where she’d actually end up, and now the Sun are flipping her to New York for the No. 7 pick in this year’s WNBA draft and a 2026 first-rounder. Decent return for Connecticut, but for the Liberty? Massive W.

This Team Just Got Even Tougher
Cloud brings defense, leadership, and great playmaking; and she’s loud about it! Which is exactly what you want in a player like her. As for the Natasha Cloud stats, she averaged 11.5 points, 6.9 assists, and 4.1 rebounds last season, but her real value is how she makes life miserable for anyone trying to score.
NEWWWWWYOOOOORRRRRKKKK🗽😈

Now she’s teaming up with Sabrina Ionescu, Breanna Stewart, and Jonquel Jones. Yeah, good luck with that.
Big W for Cloud, Too
Cloud also gets a solid personal win here, she’s now playing on a title-contending team and gets to be teammates with her girlfriend, Isabelle Harrison. Has a pro basketball couple ever won a championship together? I don’t think so, so this will be a first for WNBA games if they manage to pull off a repeat.

On The Pivot Podcast, Cloud opened up about their relationship, saying, “We weren’t looking for each other, but we found each other and fell in love. It is the most beautiful, most calming, sound thing to my career, to my life.” Now, they’ll be chasing a championship together.
Liberty’s Championship Odds Just Got Even Shorter
For anyone looking at the Liberty’s Championship odds, New York is now sitting at +250 to win it all. They were already a top pick, and this move just makes them even more of a problem.
At this point, the Liberty are just collecting talent. Everyone else? Figure it out.
