Top “dog” can be found at Globe Life Field in Arlington

The Texas Rangers hold the title for the biggest wiener in the MLB, boasting a whopping
24-inches! While the Orioles might have a “36 inch” “Yard Dog”, it’s just three 12-inch hot dogs
stacked on top of each other. With the average wiener size in the MLB coming in around 12
inches (not bad!), with various teams serving up iconic foot-long dogs. From the classic Nathan’s
Extra Long Beef Hot Dog found at Yankee Stadium to the unique Renegade Dog—a foot-long hot
dog on a bun with pot roast, mini pierogies, caramelized onions, and pickle slices—served up by
the Pittsburgh Pirates’ PNC Park. Each team’s foot-long dogs are guaranteed to satisfy.

The smallest wiener size found in the MLB is 6 inches but the teams that serve up these dogs
make sure they pack a punch. From the Cincinnati Reds, there’s the Big Red Dog served up as a
big red smokey wrapped in bacon, topped with pimento cheese and signature sauce, and served
on a toasted pretzel bun. Or, from the Milwaukee Brewers, there’s the Dog of the North, a riff on a
loaded hot dog topped with apple kraut, yellow mustard, secret stadium sauce, jalapeno mayo,
chopped bacon, and Bavarian sprinkles. These tiny but mighty dogs aren’t to be missed, making
you second guess if length is all that really matters.

Methodology

BetUS, with help of the Wiener Connoisseur, gathered data on the price, size, weight, and specialty details of hot dogs at different Major League Baseball stadiums across North America, using data from various websites to determine which MLB stadium has the longest wiener. From there, each hot dog was ranked by size and price, assessing the overall value of the hot dog in relation to its price. The data is correct as of May 7, 2024.
