Reigning American League MVP Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels makes it onto the weekly Who’s Hot and Who’s Not for the second week in a row. He is second in the AL MVP odds as he comes in at +200 according to the MLB betting lines. Teammate Mike Trout, a former MVP, makes a return to the list of Who’s Not as he is back trending in the wrong direction.

With the Houston Astros winning nine of their last 10 games, they are represented once again. The Astros are listed by the MLB playoff odds with the third-best odds to win the World Series.

    • Edwin Diaz, New York Mets: Diaz hasn’t allowed a run in his last seven appearances. He has struck out 13 of the last 24 batters he has faced.
    • Spencer Strider, Atlanta Braves: Strider is 1-0 with an 0.75 ERA and 23 strikeouts in 12 innings over his last two starts.
    • Brandon Woodruff, Milwaukee Brewers: Woodruff is 2-0 with an 0.82 ERA during his last two starts. He has 18 strikeouts and no walks in 11 innings during that span.
