Pitch to New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge at your own risk. Judge’s last six hits have been home runs. He now leads the major leagues with 51 home runs and 122 RBIs. New York is 8-1 in the last nine games when Judge has at least one home run. He continues to lead the MLB odds in the race for the American League Most Valuable Player award.
The Yankees now lead the Baltimore Orioles by 1½ games in the American League East while the Cleveland Guardians and the Houston Astros are the other division leaders. The Seattle Mariners made some MLB news by firing manager Scott Servais.

The Toronto Blue Jays have won four games in a row, the longest active winning streak in the American League. However, it looks to be too little, too late as the Blue Jays continue to sit in last place in the AL East. The Los Angeles Angels have dropped five games in a row. They are 18½ games out of the playoffs with 31 games remaining.
The Yankees lead the way in the American League Championship odds and they remain at No. 1 in the American League power rankings.
The New York Yankees lead the way at +550 followed by the Baltimore Orioles at +700 among American League teams in the odds of winning the World Series.

AL Power Rankings Top 5

It is not all good news as starting pitcher Luis Gil is on the injured list. Yankees manager Aaron Boone recently told the media that Gil could be activated on Sept. 5, the first day he is eligible to come off the injured list.
The Yankees are tied for the MLB lead by covering 44 times against the BetUS MLB run line after a win this season. They are setting the pace with 73 games landing over the total.
Bet on the New York Yankees to Win the World Series (+550)
2. Cleveland Guardians (+600)
Cleveland is barely ahead of Baltimore in winning percentage. Add in a 4-3 head-to-head record against the Orioles and that is enough for Cleveland to move up a spot to No. 2 in the Power Rankings.
It has been a bit of a grind in August as Cleveland’s starting pitchers are 5-10 this month. A .221 batting average during that stretch hasn’t helped.
Things could get interesting as Kansas City, which along with Minnesota is just three games behind the Guardians in the AL Central standings, begins a four-game series at the Guardians with a doubleheader on Monday.
Bet on the Cleveland Guardians to Win the World Series (+1600)
3. Baltimore Orioles (+330)
Baltimore is batting just .182 as a team over the last seven games with Anthony Santander, Jackson Holliday, Eloy Jimenez, Gunnar Henderson, Ryan O’Hearn and Adley Rutschman all hitting under .200.
Zach Eflin, who is 3-0 since being acquired from the Tampa Bay Rays, could be back later this week after landing on the injured list. That will be a boost for a pitching staff with a 4.46 ERA in August.
Ace Corbin Burnes allowed 18 hits and 14 runs in his last two starts.
The Orioles just split a four-game series with the AL West-leading Houston Astros and now face the Los Angeles Dodgers in a three-game series.
Baltimore is tied for the MLB lead by covering against the run line in 73 games this season.
Bet on the Baltimore Orioles to Win the World Series (+750)
4. Houston Astros (+450)
Houston has cooled off a bit, but the Astros still have the largest cushion among the American League Division leaders with Seattle now 4½ games behind.
Framber Valdez and Hunter Brown are a combined 9-2 since the MLB All-Star break came to an end. Yainer Diaz (.343, nine home runs) and Yordan Alvarez (.336, 15 extra-base hits) lead the offense during that stretch.
Bet on the Houston Astros to Win the World Series (+850)
5. Kansas City Royals (+1000)
Even after dropping the last two games to the Philadelphia Phillies, the Royals are 20-13 over the last 33 games.
Veteran pitcher Michael Wacha is 5-0 with a 2.27 ERA over his last seven starts. Michael Lorenzen has allowed one run or less in three of his four starts since being acquired from the Texas Rangers.
Bobby Witt Jr. is batting .417 with 36 runs, 12 doubles, 10 home runs and 16 stolen bases over his last 33 games while first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino is heating up for the Royals.
The Royals lead the American League with a 38-31 record against the BetUS sportsbook odds.
