MLB Opening Day is here, and MLB fans must feel like kids on Christmas morning. The 2024 season started with the Seoul Series last week, but for Bryan Cranston, this is the official start. Today, 26 teams will meet in electrifying action.

Originally, all MLB teams were slated to play, but as MLB news outlets reported, nature had other plans. Rain added uncertainty, particularly up the East Coast, with a cold front in Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New York, where the Orioles, Phillies, and Mets will host their Opening Day games.

While the forecast is not set in stone, there were two rainouts on today’s schedule: the Brewers vs. Mets game in New York and the Braves vs. Phillies game in Philadelphia. As early MLB rumors confirmed, these four teams will start their seasons on Friday. Everyone else will play today, including the Orioles, who host the Angels at 3:05 PM ET.

There’s not a great day weather-wise for the East Coast,” FOX Weather Meteorologist Britta Merwin said.

Most of the games will be held in the afternoon, including Cardinals vs. Dodgers and Yankees vs. Astros. The Rangers will celebrate their 2023 World Series title before hosting the Cubs at 7:35 PM ET. The Red Sox’s visit to the Mariners is another intriguing night game.

Injuries to ace starters alter the plans that many teams had for their first MLB games of the season. Gerrit Cole, Justin Verlander, and Kodai Senga are all out but big-name starters like Corbin Burnes and Logan Webb are available.

Can’t-miss Opening Day moments include Juan Soto’s first game with the Yankees and Shohei Ohtani’s Dodger Stadium debut.

Bryan Cranston’s Incredible Opening Week Hype Video

MLB released a hype video starring Breaking Bad actor Bryan Cranston.

Last year, Cranston starred in MLB’s preseason video that went over the league’s new rules like the pitch timer. This time, his video is all about players achieving their dreams.

Cranston, a Canoga Park, California native, is a huge Dodgers fan, and filming at Dodger Stadium is always special for him.

This is my Citadel,” Cranston told MLB.com. “This is where I feel happiest, ever since I was six years old coming here in 1962, when it opened. I’ve grown up with this place. It means something to me.

When I die and I’m cremated, I want my wife to figure out how to drop the ashes on the pitcher’s mound or home plate,” he said while smiling. “Just thinking about that, it’d be cool, the image of that. Listen, I hope that doesn’t happen too soon, but it would be a nice, nice place to be.

Other popular Bryan Cranston movies and TV shows include Malcolm in the Middle, Godzilla, Why Him?, The Upside, and Argylle.
