MLB Prop Betting Guide Sept, 15: Schwarber’s Power Numbers are Nuts
With just a few more weeks left in the MLB regular season, it’s time to cram as many winning wagers into our betting cards as possible. Since we have so precious few games left to cap, I focused hard and found two MLB picks for player props to profit tonight.
Justin Steele Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-130)
Cubs starter Justin Steele is having an incredible third season in the bigs after posting mediocre numbers in his first two. In 27 starts, Steele has an outstanding 16-3 record with a 2.49 ERA and 159 strikeouts. He’s gone from having a combined 8-11 record in his first two years to a legit Cy Young candidate.

While Steele isn’t a prolific strikeout pitcher, he has gone over 5.5 Ks in eight straight starts and nine of his last 10.
Additionally, the Arizona Diamondbacks have had no success against him in the past. In 51 total at-bats, the current D-back lineup is hitting just .196 against Steele with 11 strikeouts and zero home runs.
With such charitable MLB lines for this prop, I can’t pass it up. Neither should you.
Kyle Schwarber to Hit a Home Run (+400)
You may think I’m crazy for recommending any MLB bet on a player hitting below the Mendoza line, but hear me out.
Schwarber has been one of the hottest hitters in the league since the start of September, with 9 home runs in his previous 13 games. He’s also been very kind to us in the MLB betting department.
It’s not just that he’s hitting for power. With a batting average of .304 and 16 walks in his previous 13 games, it’s clear Schwarber is seeing the ball better now than he has all season.

It almost doesn’t matter what Schwarber’s average is, considering he’s fourth in the MLB with 43 home runs and 10th in RBI with 94.
With the Vegas MLB odds so good for a guy who is so hot at the plate, I think this a great opportunity to cash in big on Schwarber’s surge.
