- Over bettors were 8-0 in Baltimore games before losing by a ½ run in Tuesday’s 6-2 win over Toronto.
- Bet on MLB odds at BetUS sportsbook.
The Cleveland Guardians are one heck of a bet in the MLB future odds to win the pennant at +650, but they may be up against it when the Baltimore Orioles visit for a four-game series that starts on Thursday.
The Guardians own the best record in the American League after winning six of eight, including a 5-0 triumph over Detroit on Tuesday. However, Cleveland is fourth in the AL betting odds behind the Orioles, the New York Yankees and Houston.
Baltimore led the AL East by a half-game over the Yankees through Tuesday and hosted Toronto on Wednesday. The Orioles are one of the favorites to win the pennant (+265) and added three arms, along with outfielders Eloy Jimenez and Austin Slater at the trade deadline.
The Guardians brought in center fielder Lane Thomas from Washington and starting pitcher Alex Cobb before Tuesday’s trade deadline. Thomas went 1-for-4 in his debut on Tuesday.
Cleveland has pitched well all season, but Baltimore may have the edge in this series if you bet online.

3 Orioles vs Guardians Series Betting Tips
1. O’s Have Edge on Mound
None of the four starters slated to go in this series for Baltimore faced Cleveland in the previous three meetings this year.
Dean Kremer, Albert Suarez, Zach Eflin and All-Star Corbin Burnes are the scheduled starters for the Orioles in the showdown series at Cleveland. Kremer and Suarez have struggled of late, Eflin won his first outing after being acquired from Tampa Bay and Burnes is 10-4.
MLB Trade Deadline Betting: 6 Deals to Shift Odds
While Ben Lively (9-6) is expected to open the series for the Guardians after a dazzling six-inning effort against Philadelphia last time out and Tanner Bibee (9-4) is slated to go, the other two starters are to be determined. One could be Carlos Carrasco (3-9, 5.68 ERA).
It appears to be a clear advantage for Baltimore, even though Cleveland is second in the AL in ERA. You have to expect the Orioles to turn things around on the mound.

2. Orioles Making Over Strong Bet in MLB Parlays
Baltimore can score runs and blast homers with anyone. If the Orioles find their way on the mound, they are a strong BetUS MLB pick to win the World Series
The Orioles put up 29 runs in the four games through Tuesday and topped the majors in home runs, led by Anthony Santander (31). They could be even better if Jimenez finds his swing. The outfielder hit 31 homers in his rookie season (2019), but no more than 18 since.
Colton Cowser has been a consistent force of late, but Ryan Mountcastle and Jordan Westburg are also major threats. Gunnar Henderson was 6-for-11 with two homers in the previous series against Cleveland and Westburg was 5-for-12.

The Orioles hope Eflin, along with lefties Trevor Rogers and Gregory Soto, can improve the pitching staff. Time will tell for bettors.
Bet the over with Baltimore at the sportsbook. While the Guardians are tough at home (33-15), expect them to struggle on the mound this weekend. Meanwhile, 2022 first overall draft pick Jackson Holliday has been recalled for the Orioles.
3. Guardians a Value Bet in October
While we think the Orioles might take three of four in Cleveland this weekend, a bet on the Guardians to win the pennant can be lucrative.
Every time you think Cleveland may be sliding a bit, things change. The Guardians lost seven of nine contests around the All-Star break, but turned it around with the recent 6-2 stretch that included two of three against the major league-best Phillies.
Cleveland did not go overboard at the trade deadline, but Thomas gives the Guardians a little more depth in the outfield and Cobb is close to making his 2024 debut after six rehab stints in the minors. He is 77-75 in his career and 8-2 versus the Orioles.
Lane Thomas on joining the Guardians: “It’s hard not to be excited about that. I think they’ve been one of the better teams in baseball. Even playing against them, I was like, ‘They get it done.'”

Thomas and Steven Kwan (.332 batting average) at the top of the order could set it up well for slugger Jose Ramirez, who homered three times the last two games and is a strong MLB prop bet for the series.
