Picks, Prediction for Angels vs White Sox on Tuesday, May 30
Both Teams Could Use a Spark
The Los Angeles Angels and Chicago White Sox will play game two of three on Tuesday, with both teams needing a get-right series. Neither team had the best MLB odds when the series started, mainly due to their recent struggles.
The Angels won Game 1 with the help of four runs in the first inning and a good start from Griffin Canning, striking out nine and allowing three runs through six. They added two more runs in the eighth to get the 6-4 win.

Angels Need Offense to Pick Up
The Angels’ offense has struggled despite having two players with solid MLB lines to be the American League MVP: Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani. They only scored seven runs in the last series, getting swept by the Miami Marlins, with five coming in one game.
This has been a problem for a while, scoring the six fewest runs over the last 15 days, 47 through 13 games. The offense must pick up a little to be reliable for MLB betting. It seemed to get a spark in the first game against the White Sox, scoring six runs.
White Sox Lose Ground
In its last series, Chicago lost three of four games to the Detroit Tigers. That pushed the White Sox down the AL Central division standings, now in fourth, behind the Tigers. This division is anyone’s to win, and while MLB picks were not going with the White Sox, they are still in the race.
HERE HE COMES 💚

Starting pitching has played a vital role in keeping the White Sox competitive, with the third-best ERA over the last 14 days. It also could be getting a boost from Liam Hendriks returning to the field after recovering from cancer, headlining MLB news.
Starting Pitchers
Tyler Anderson (2-0, 4.81 ERA) vs Lucas Giolito (3-4, 3.98)
May has been much better for Tyler Anderson after a rough April. He has only allowed one home run through four starts in the month with a 3.68 ERA. In all four of his starts in the month, the Angels have also won, but only one was credited to him, which was his last outing, going six innings, and allowing one run.
Lucas Giolito has not been consistent, making it hard to include the White Sox in MLB picks and parlays. He had his worst start this season in his last appearance, only managing 3.2 innings, allowing four runs, six hits, and walking seven. Allowing home runs has been an issue, giving up one in his last five starts.
Angels vs White Sox Head-to-Head
The Angels won last season’s series with the White Sox 4-3. In the first game of 2023, the Angels were the underdogs, winning and hitting the over.

Angels vs White Sox Betting Lines
Over/Under Pick
With both offenses struggling to put up runs and two quilty starting pitchers on the mound, this game should hit the under. The only concern would be the Angels’ bullpen struggling if called upon early and Giolito having another poor start.
Pick: Under 9 (-115)
Moneyline Pick
Anderson has been pitching so well recently that it could give the Angels an extra edge in this game. That, along with the star power of the batting lineup, Los Angeles might be able to get a win on the road.
Pick: Los Angeles Angels +125
Spread Pick
With the Angels’ being underdogs, they will cover the spread if they win this game. If they don’t win the game, having Anderson on the mound should keep the game close enough to cover the spread.
Pick: Los Angeles Angels +1½ (-160)
