Both Teams Could Use a Spark
The Los Angeles Angels and Chicago White Sox will play game two of three on Tuesday, with both teams needing a get-right series. Neither team had the best MLB odds when the series started, mainly due to their recent struggles.
The Angels won Game 1 with the help of four runs in the first inning and a good start from Griffin Canning, striking out nine and allowing three runs through six. They added two more runs in the eighth to get the 6-4 win.
Angels Need Offense to Pick Up
The Angels’ offense has struggled despite having two players with solid MLB lines to be the American League MVP: Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani. They only scored seven runs in the last series, getting swept by the Miami Marlins, with five coming in one game.

Starting pitching has played a vital role in keeping the White Sox competitive, with the third-best ERA over the last 14 days. It also could be getting a boost from Liam Hendriks returning to the field after recovering from cancer, headlining MLB news.
Starting Pitchers
Tyler Anderson (2-0, 4.81 ERA) vs Lucas Giolito (3-4, 3.98)
May has been much better for Tyler Anderson after a rough April. He has only allowed one home run through four starts in the month with a 3.68 ERA. In all four of his starts in the month, the Angels have also won, but only one was credited to him, which was his last outing, going six innings, and allowing one run.
Lucas Giolito has not been consistent, making it hard to include the White Sox in MLB picks and parlays. He had his worst start this season in his last appearance, only managing 3.2 innings, allowing four runs, six hits, and walking seven. Allowing home runs has been an issue, giving up one in his last five starts.
