It’s a bullpen day for the Dodgers and the Athletics are giving the ball to Osvaldo Bido, who has yet to produce a quality start in eight tries. These teams combined for 12 runs in Wednesday’s affair and are both among the top eight in the majors in terms of hitting the over. This has the potential to be among the most fun MLB picks of the day, just rooting for both teams to tee off.

The Dodgers’ pen is a very good one, but it also leads the majors in innings pitched by a pretty good margin. Whenever you’re in a situation where you need to use six or seven pitchers, there’s always the chance one or two of them simply don’t have it and get blown up. Bido is no sure bet against the big bats of Los Angeles, but those that have faced him are just 5-for-22 with no homers. Give the A’s, who are 13-9 against the run line on the road, a chance.
