Allen will make his 19th start of the season tonight. I expect the Diamondbacks to produce against the left-hander, who has a 5.67 ERA, .291 OBA, and a 1.55 WHIP. Allen has been one of the luckiest pitchers this season. He ranks in the 4th percentile in xERA, 13th percentile in xBA, 5th percentile in Hard Hit %, and 5th percentile in Barrel %, and he doesn’t get many strikeouts. He’s due for an implosion!
The last time we faded Allen was his start against Baltimore, and they smacked him around. Allen has allowed three earned runs or more in 11 of 18 starts this season.

Ketel Marte is having another terrific season, batting .302 this season, and has the third-highest wRC+ (199) in MLB against lefties with at least 100 at-bats behind only Aaron Judge (217 wRC+) and Jose Ramirez (208 wRC+)!

2. Royals SS Bobby Witt Jr. 3+ Total Bases (+129)

He made one start against the Royals last season, but he was obliterated, failing to make it out of the second inning! Witt Jr. went 1 for 1 with a homer in that game against Paxton. Bobby Witt Jr. is a breakout star in 2024. Every fan wishes they could have him on their team, and every GM wishes they could build their franchise around this guy. He hit .489 in July, the fifth-highest average in a month since 1930!
