Blue Jays Chasing Top Spot in AL East
The Toronto Blue Jays look to rebound on Wednesday against the Baltimore Orioles after losing on Tuesday night. The Blue Jays (75-60) have been reeling in the New York Yankees and sit six games out of first place in the American League East. The Orioles (72-64) are also in playoff contention and are 3½ games back of Toronto for the final wild card.
Kremer Keeps Winning
While Dean Kremer (6-4) may not have an excellent win-loss record, the Baltimore Orioles have a habit of winning games he starts. The Orioles are 4-0 in Kremer’s last five starts with big wins over the Houston Astros and this Blue Jays team. Kremer brings a 3.22 ERA and 1.21 WHIP into this start after holding Toronto to two runs in 7⅓ innings his last time facing them.
Manoah on Roll
The Toronto Blue Jays are in a great spot to bounce back after Game 1 with Alek Manoah (13-7) making the start. Manoah enters play with a 2.48 ERA and 1.02 WHIP and continues to be a dominant force. He is a top-10 pitcher in most regards and is coming off 7⅓ scoreless innings against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday. It was the third game in a row that Manoah allowed one run or fewer.
Blue Jays vs Orioles Head-to-Head

Blue Jays vs Orioles Prediction
A case can be made for both teams in this AL East clash. The Orioles are playing good baseball and the Blue Jays have a stud on the mound. Because this game is so tight, we’ll focus on the total.
Both offenses shined on Tuesday, but Wednesday’s pitching matchup will tell a different story. Between Manoah and Kremer, we expect at least one to shut down the opposing offense. We’ll side with the starters tonight with a play on the under.
