NL Top Teams Meet In Game 2
The Atlanta Braves will play the second game of three against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Both teams have played great, with two of the best records in the National League. Their records will play a role in this game’s MLB spread.
The Diamondbacks won Game 1, 3-2, for their sixth straight victory. Merrill Kelly pitched a great game to keep the Braves’ lineup in check, while Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hit a two-run homer in the first inning to give Arizona an early lead.
Braves Need The Offense To Come Back
The Braves‘ last series loss to the Oakland Athletics was shocking. MLB odds favored them by a lot in all three games, but Atlanta lost the first two games, scoring only three runs. They would luckily avoid the humiliation of being swept in the final game, winning 4-2.

Starting Pitchers
Spencer Strider (5-2, 2.97) vs Ryne Nelson (2-2, 5.37)
For the most part, Spencer Strider has been one of the best pitchers in the league. However, he has not looked the best in May, with a 4.01 ERA in the month, compared to 1.80 in April. Overall, his month hasn’t even been that bad, never giving up more than four runs in six starts, but by comparison, it was a step back. Strider has still been an elite strikeout pitcher, with 20 over the last two games in 12 innings. Taking him to hit the over on his strikeout line is a solid bet for MLB picks and parlays.
On the other hand, Ryne Nelson has struggled a little for Arizona. The Diamondbacks have won the last four games he has started, but Nelson has given up at least four runs in two of those outings. He struggled in his previous start, going five innings, allowing eight hits and five runs while only getting one strikeout, but he did secure a win.
