Skid Stalls Momentum of Braves
The Atlanta Braves were on an eight-game winning streak not long ago but they’ve since lost three games in a row. That included a 3-2 defeat at the hands of the San Francisco Giants on Monday.
That’s crucial as the Braves had closed the gap in the National League East significantly. The World Series champs would love to win (or steal) the division and trail the first-place New York Mets by 1½ games.
Meanwhile, the Giants are out of the races and are merely playing spoiler on the MLB betting odds. San Francisco has won three straight games. Are the Giants worth a look at the MLB odds again or are the Braves the bet here?
Let’s check the latest MLB picks, stats, injury reports, and MLB predictions, for Braves vs Giants. We’ve plenty of World series predictions for you to consider.
Wright Gets Nod for Atlanta
Kyle Wright is getting the start for Atlanta and that usually leads to a Braves win in the sportsbook. Wright has the best record in baseball at 17-5 and a solid 3.23 ERA to back it up. He’s tied for 24th in total strikeouts at 154.
We’ve only seen the team lose one out of the last 13 games that he’s pitched, so keep that in mind if you bet online.
Wright pitched against the Giants once earlier in the year. He helped them pull to a 7-6 victory but allowed 10 hits and four runs 5.1 innings.
He’s coming off his worst start of the season as he gave up eight runs to the lowly Oakland Athletics on Tuesday. It marked just the second time this season that he’s allowed two home runs in a game.
Giants Look to Extend Streak
The Giants won’t want to switch too much stuff around entering this second straight contest with Atlanta. Jakob Junis will be hitting the mound and while he’s 4-5, he has a decent 3.98 ERA.
Junis is 2-1 record with a 3.56 ERA at home. Those stats worsen a bit on the road, where he is 2-4 with a 4.43 ERA.
We’ll see how that holds up against the Braves, who are batting .254 as a team over their last 10. Michael Harris II is swinging a hot stick while going 16-for-39 in that span. Junis will have to be careful with him and a number of other Braves that he hasn’t faced before.
Braves vs Giants Head-to-Head
The Braves have won three of the five matchups against the Giants this season.

Braves vs Giants Prediction
The Giants have given the Braves all that they can handle this season. However, Atlanta seems to be in a better position to win this game.
There could be a big difference in starting pitchers. Wright has accumulated the best record in the league by a pitcher while Junis has garnered mixed results.
The Braves are listed as the favorites in the sportsbook and that’s because they’re the better team and they have Wright on the mound. No pitcher gets more run support than Wright at 6.18 per outing, so either bet the Braves or the over.
