The second NL Central divisional season series between the St. Louis Cardinals, early MLB betting odds favorites, and Milwaukee Brewers is set to start tonight at 7:40 p.m. ET.

Both the skidding Cardinals, who consistently remain as sleepers in a lot of fans’ MLB futures bet tickets and Brewers, are looking to bounce back following four consecutive losses.

With St. Louis entering this series with online betting favoritism backing them, let’s break down the game’s best bets and MLB player props today.

Cardinals vs Brewers Prediction Today, June 12 2025

My prediction

  • St. Louis Cardinals Moneyline (-135)

The Brewers are making headlines in various MLB latest news sites following the promotion of tonight’s starter, Jacob Misiorowski, to the main roster.

Due to get his first pro start against the Cardinals, expectations are running high in Wisconsin for what the 2022 second-round pick can do, especially after showing off a fastball that’s been clocked as high as 103 mph.

But you know which team doesn’t fade in any way, shape or form with news like this? Yes, the Cardinals.

Having taken two of three games in their first head-to-head series this season and sending Sonny Gray to the mound to welcome Misiorowski to the big leagues, I’m taking veteran savviness over rookie spunk here and betting on St. Louis to take the “W” straight up.

Bet St. Louis Cardinals Moneyline (-135)

  • Cardinals vs Brewers Total Under 8 (-125)

Staying on the Gray vs Misiorowski pitching matchup tonight, I am willing to give Milwaukee’s top pitching prospect the benefit of the doubt, especially after taking a second to watch a couple of his highlight tapes and not only witnessing that triple-digit fastball, but also a slider that could seriously do some damage.

Between Misiorowski trying to show off in his pro debut and Gray continuing to look sharp as usual, I see this being more of a low-scoring pitching duel than anything else – hence why my MLB expert pick here goes with riding the under tonight.

Bet Cardinals vs Brewers Total Under 8 (-125)

Cardinals vs Brewers Prop Picks and Best Bets

  • Sonny Gray Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-154)

I’ve been a fan of Sonny Gray ever since his early years with the A’s and have continued riding his hype wagon ever since.

Gray is the kind of veteran ace you can always count on when it comes to consistency and above all, offering secure value in MLB player prop picks today.

Looking at his most recent performances, Gray has tallied a total of 34 strikeouts over his last five games combined, including a pair of 10-K outings against the Texas Rangers and Detroit Tigers.

With numbers like these, and making a strong case to be considered in everybody’s NL Cy Young odds betting ticket, do yourself a favor and take Gray’s over in strikeouts for tonight.

Bet Sonny Gray Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-154)

  • St. Louis Cardinals Team With Most Hits (-143)

You know what the best way to welcome a pitcher into the big leagues is? Of course, by trying to beat up on him from beginning to end.

With the Brewers handing the ball to Misiorowski, the Cardinals, who are ranked 5th in the league in hits with 595 over 68 games (8.75 per game), could perfectly be looking into trying to spark up tonight on the plate.

Just because I’m taking the total going under, it doesn’t mean I’m predicting an offensive snooze-fest. With that said, I’m taking the better hitting team here to end up with the most hits tonight, the Cardinals.

Bet St. Louis Cardinals Team With Most Hits (-143)

  • Cardinals vs Brewers NRFI (-154)

Here’s a fun MLB stat for you. Looking back to Gray’s six previous starts, St. Louis’ ace tonight has not allowed a run in four of them.

Furthermore, digging deeper, he’s allowed two runs or less in seven starts.

Take that and add Misiorowski looking to come in dominating the mound from the get-go and Milwaukee’s offense having put up no more than two runs in four of their last six games and it makes perfect sense not to expect runs being scored in the first inning tonight.

Bet Cardinals vs Brewers NRFI (-154)
