My prediction

Moneyline Pick: Arizona Diamondbacks +1.5 (-150)

Today’s MLB slate comes fully loaded, but Diamondbacks vs. Dodgers steals the cake. Arizona’s already taken two from L.A. this season, and with the Dodgers just swept by the Angels, I’m taking the Diamondbacks on the MLB lines. Arizona’s pitching has shown it can cool off L.A.’s bats, and with their offense now fifth in the league in RBIs, I like their chances to keep it close and cover on the road.

Diamondbacks vs Dodgers Over/Under Pick 9.5 Runs (-105)

Both teams are expected to do damage at the plate per MLB news today, but I see the run count falling short of 10 runs again. Listen, Arizona’s ace, Brandon Pfaadt, has already kept the Dodgers in check, and I anticipate him doing it again. As for the Diamondbacks at the plate, they’ve been solid, but not enough to carry the load alone. Expect the score to climb, but not past double digits.

After an upsetting performance at home against the Angels, you can bet L.A. will be hungry to get their bats going, but for my MLB player prop picks today, I have Arizona’s righty Brandon Pfaadt to notch over 4.5 strikeouts. He’s already seen this Dodgers lineup and handled them with six strikeouts and no runs allowed. With momentum on Arizona’s side and Pfaadt locked in, I like his odds of fanning at least five tonight.

Past matchups between these two have racked up hits in a hurry, but I’m leaning under 19 total hits for my MLB prop picks. With Arizona’s Pfaadt on the bump, I trust him to keep L.A. in check at the plate. And with the Diamondbacks coming off a flat showing against a sloppy Rockies team, I’m not expecting an explosion from them either. Both sides will make contact, just not enough to go over.
