Diamondbacks Lost Series Opener
Arizona hasn’t had the best season, to say the least. They’re some 27½ games behind the first-place Los Angeles Dodgers in the NL West, so…
With nothing to play for this season expect the role of spoiler, the Diamondbacks try to avenge Monday’s 6-1 series-opening loss to the homestanding San Francisco Giants. San Francisco has won four straight game, seven of its last nine.
Do Not Blame Kelly
Arizona is having a rough season, but righthander Merrill Kelly has been solid for the D’backs. He has a 10-5 record, a 2.95 ERA and 115 strikeouts over 137.1 innings.
Kelly has ‘shutouts’ in two of his last four games, seven and and eight innings om the mound, respectively.
When it comes to playing on the road, trust Kelly’s if you wager online with the Diamondbacks. He is 7-1 with a 2.79 ERA away from the desert (3-4, 3.06 ERA at home).
Junis Not Fooling Anyone
Righty Jakob Junis is the Giants’ Tuesday starter. Junis is 4-3 on the year with a 3.78 ERA. His last two games have been awful, however.
In just 3.2 innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers, he surrendered three runs. Then, against the San Diego Padres, in 2.1 innings, six runs. It’s not a surprise the Giants lost both.
Diamondbacks vs Giants Head-to-Head
