Rangers Aim to Keep Streak Going
The Arizona Diamondbacks and Texas Rangers will each try to keep their spots on top of their respective divisions when the two first-place teams battle in a two-game series. The Arizona Diamondbacks will be hoping to bounce back from a loss to the last-place Colorado Rockies while the Rangers will look to extend their winning streak to four games.
Diamondbacks Downed by Pitching
Arizona’s three-game win streak came to an end after pitching struggles highlighted the final game of its series with Colorado.

After allowing five total runs in the previous two games, the Diamondbacks gave up 12 runs to the Rockies, the most runs they have allowed in a game this season.
Ryne Nelson stumbled in his start, giving up six runs and nine hits in his four innings of pitching, including a three-run homer to CJ Cron.
Peter Solomon didn’t provide much relief, allowing six runs and seven hits in 2.1 innings, following his replacement of Nelson.
The Diamondbacks hope Zac Gallen, who owns a 4-1 record with a 2.15 ERA, will help Arizona get back on track.
Rangers’ Offense Comes Alive
Though the Texas Rangers’ pitching was incredible over their three-game win streak against the Yankees, their offense stole the show in the final game of the series.
Texas held New York to four total runs over its three-game win streak, but in the last game, the Rangers scored 15 runs.
The Rangers were led off by Josh Jung, who hit a grand slam in the first inning. However, the home runs didn’t stop there as Texas had three more homers blasts from Jonah Heim, Adolis Garcia and Nathaniel Lowe.

Texas finished with 11 hits and will try to stay strong offensively when another top team comes to town in the Diamondbacks.

The Diamondbacks and Rangers haven’t played each other since they met for a pair of two-game series in 2021, where Texas won three of the four games. The two last clashed in early September 2021 in Arizona, when the Rangers swept the Diamondbacks in a two-game series.

Diamondbacks vs Rangers Picks and Predictions
The Rangers just put on a pitching clinic against the Yankees and could be ready to do it again against the Diamondbacks, who stumbled in their last game against the Rockies.
Jon Gray starts for Texas, looking to pick up his second win with a 3.91 ERA, while Gallen will try to revert the Rangers back to their old ways with a strong start. Though Texas just had a big day at the plate, it was a little out of character, which could explain the lower over/under from the MLB lines. With stronger pitching, live betting on the number of strikeouts in an inning could be a solid betting option for those who want to make their MLB picks more exciting. Either way, the sportsbook has plenty of MLB odds to choose from, with Texas listed as the underdog in Tuesday’s matchup.
The Texas Rangers are listed at +119 in our Vegas lines. This means that if you wager $100 on the Rangers, you have a chance to win $119. The Arizona Diamondbacks are -129, offering a chance to win $78 on a $100 wager.
The implied probability attached to the betting lines gives the Texas Rangers a 33.44% chance to win, with the Arizona Diamondbacks at 56.33%
