Los Angeles Tries To Stay Atop NL West
The Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves play the rubber game of their three-game weekend series on Sunday Night Baseball. Atlanta took Saturday’s contest to even the series, keeping it five games behind the New York Mets for the top spot in the NL East. Los Angeles had its four-game winning streak snapped and leads the San Diego Padres by a game for first place in the NL West. These teams have gone back and forth, so make sure you use our in-depth preview of the series finale to help you with your betting online.
Let’s check the latest MLB picks, stats, injury reports, and MLB predictions for Dodgers vs Braves. We’ve plenty of world series predictions for you to consider.

Gonsolin Tries To Stay Perfect For Dodgers
The Los Angeles Dodgers have one of the better pitching staffs in baseball, and it’s been Tony Gonsolin leading the way. The 28-year-old right-hander is 9-0 with a 1.58 ERA.
Gonsolin is 4-0 with a 1.16 ERA in four starts in June, though he did give up multiple runs for the first time in the month in his last start against the Cincinnati Reds. Gonsolin was brilliant in his first start against the Atlanta Braves this season in April, throwing six shutout innings and allowing just one hit while striking out three and walking three.
Catcher Will Smith had a home run in Saturday’s setback, his third in five games. Smith is batting .260 with nine doubles, 11 home runs, 35 RBIs and 29 runs scored.
First baseman Freddie Freeman was 1-for-4 with three strikeouts, including one with the bases loaded in the seventh inning, in the second game of his return to face his former team. The former NL MVP is batting .303 with 23 doubles, two triples, eight home runs, 45 RBIs, and 47 runs scored.
Ozuna Leads Braves To Series-Tying Win
The Atlanta Braves were missing some pop for much of the 2021 campaign with outfielders Ronald Acuna Jr. and Marcell Ozuna both missing significant periods of time with injuries. Ozuna is feeling more like himself this season, and he showed it on Saturday night, hitting a tie-breaking home run in the eighth inning that led Atlanta to the win over the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers.
“He’s had some big hits lately,” Braves manager Brian Snitker said of Ozuna after Saturday’s win. “He’s still fighting to get himself to where he wants to be, but in between, he’s had some big hits for us.”
Ozuna is batting .227 with nine doubles, 14 home runs, 31 RBIs and 35 runs scored.
Acuna was 1-for-4 with two strikeouts and a run scored. The 24-year-old is batting .281 with eight doubles, seven home runs, 18 RBIs and 28 runs scored in 43 games.
Right-hander Spencer Strider is 3-2 with a 3.40 ERA, striking out 72 over 47⅔ innings. He’s coming off a no-decision in an ugly outing against the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday, as he allowed six runs on six hits over 3⅔ innings, striking out four and walking one.
Dodgers vs Braves Head-To-Head
These perennial playoff foes of late have played very close season series over the last few years and could end in a tie this season with an Atlanta Braves win on Sunday night. The Los Angeles Dodgers have won three of the first five meetings this season after winning four of the six regular-season matchups a year ago.
Of course, the postseason is what is remembered, and that’s where Atlanta came out on top, winning the National League Championship Series in six games. The MLB lines for Sunday’s game have the Dodgers gaining a little bit of revenge for that with a win to take the season series.

Dodgers vs Braves Prediction
Gonsolin has been fantastic, especially over the last month, and he should make it difficult on the Atlanta Braves. The Los Angeles Dodgers should be able to get to the rookie Strider for enough runs to get the victory.
