Royals Looking To Not Get Flushed
It is always exciting when you get to match up with a team from the opposite league as you. It is usually a fun change of scenery as opposed to facing your division rivals constantly, but this is not so fun for the Kansas City Royals. The Los Angeles Dodgers are in town and look to continue their double-digit win streak.
Entering Saturday’s game, our MLB odds have these teams going in completely opposite directions. Kansas City is 47-67 after dropping game one of the series, and Los Angeles is 78-33. The Dodgers are on an 11-game winning streak and are playing their second straight AL Series.
Dodgers Are the Best Team in Baseball
There was a point in the season where the New York Yankees were projected to break the single-season wins record and blow everyone out of the water, but now the Los Angeles Dodgers are the team to beat. The Dodgers have the best record in baseball.
With the success all season long, they are almost always the favorites in our MLB free picks. As Andrew Heaney steps on the mound, that narrative will not change. Heaney has a 0.64 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and 37 strikeouts through 28.0 IP. It has been tough for his opponents to get on base, as they only bat .175.
The Dodgers are obviously great when it comes to the moneyline, but what makes them great is how they fare against the spread. They are 70-41 against the spread (including last night’s win) this season and 34-21 on the road.
Los Angeles is hungry to keep their winning streak alive, and their team filled with All-Star players will bring their A-game in game two of the three-game series.
Keep Developing the Young Ones
The Kansas City Royals have one of the worst records in all of baseball, but, thankfully for them, they are in the same division as the Detroit Tigers. They are 20 games under .500.
Brad Keller will get the nod on the rubber for the Royals. Keller is 6-12 with a 4.45 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, and 80 strikeouts through 119.1 IP.
He is coming off of one of his best starts, allowing only one run against the Boston Red Sox. The Royals covered the spread in four of his last seven starts.
As a whole, MLB lines have not favored the Royals much in their rebuilding season. They are below .500 against the spread on the season, and playing at night has been a struggle for the Royals all season.
Kansas City games have hit the over more times than not this season. With the 27th worst ERA in all of baseball, the over hit in the loss last night as well.
Dodgers vs Royals Head-to-Head
There is not much to digest here, as this is the first series of the 2022 season between the Los Angeles Dodgers of the NL and the Kansas City Royals of the AL. The Dodgers won last night by a score of 8-3, with the only Kansas City runs coming after the 7th inning.
Los Angeles looks to have the better scores and odds as they have 31 more wins than Kansas City.

Dodgers vs Royals Prediction
Before even looking at the Las Vegas odds, it is hard to think about betting against the red-hot Los Angeles Dodgers. It really is that simple; you cannot bet against the Dodgers, even on the spread.
We are going to rock with the Dodgers spread -1.5 (-150) over the Kansas City Royals. With the way the Dodgers are rolling, we expected these odds to be much worse, but it is actually a pretty good value.
The Dodgers dominate on all levels, whether it be moneyline or against the spread. Even if the odds bounce around before the Saturday night game, go with the Dodgers spread.
