Dodgers, Twins Both Off to Pedestrian Starts in 2022
Great on Paper
The Los Angeles Dodgers have arguably one of the greatest lineups and rosters ever assembled on paper. But they greatly underperformed against the likes of the Rockies, only notching one win in their opening series.
After bolstering their offense this spring, the Minnesota Twins started off rather slowly against the Mariners. Their last two games were better, but they are still not firing on all cylinders the way they should be.

Let’s check the latest MLB Picks, stats, injury reports, and MLB Odds for Dodgers vs Twins. We’ve plenty of MLB Predictions.
Dodger Lineup Desperate
It’s been just three games, but the Los Angeles Dodgers offense is in desperate need of production. So far, the only shining lights in the lineup are Gavin Lux, Chris Taylor, and backup catcher Austin Barnes.
It’s early, but with a lineup like this and a high standard to keep with the amount of money that ownership is ponying up for these guys, they better figure it out soon. No one was expecting a low-scoring series against the likes of the Rockies in the Mile High City, where offensive production is usually on high octane.
The Dodgers pitching staff has been a mixed bag of results thus far. Starting pitching has been fair, minus Julio Urias’ troublesome start in the series finale against the Rockies. The bullpen has been average, but it’s still early, and there is a ton of veteran talent that will reign in their performance.
Twins Surging in Last Two Games
To say the Minnesota Twins have figured out how to score runs in the last two games of their opening series against the Mariners is an understatement. Byron Buxton has been on fire in the first four games of the season, showing what the budding superstar can do.
The Twins are only 2-2, but their offense got a bit of a sluggish start before exploding for ten runs and four runs, respectively, in their last two MLB games. The first two games of the season were very close scoring games.
Pitching has been the most impressive part so far. Probably the biggest question mark of the season for the Twins was their pitching staff, but they have responded well. Chris Archer will try to continue that trend as he gets his first start after two injury-plagued seasons.
Dodgers vs Twins Head-to-Head
The Los Angeles Dodgers and Minnesota Twins have not squared off since 2017, which is a long time in the sports world to not play a single opponent.
But so much has changed over the last four years that any previous head-to-head information would not be pertinent to sports betting at this point in time.

Dodgers vs Twins Prediction
Predicting this matchup between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Minnesota Twins has a lot of moving parts.
With a slow-moving offense for the Dodgers and Chris Archer looking to reassert himself as a quality arm, it would come as no surprise that the Dodgers continue to struggle. Especially if the Twins can keep up their offensive onslaught against the likes of Andrew Heaney, who has been a very average starting pitcher over his career.
The Dodgers are still favored, but with recent scores and odds, take the Twins to cover the +1 ½ run line at -135.
