Go With Under Bet in Blue Jays vs Yankees Game
With the end of the season nearing, the Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees finish their three-game series. The Blue Jays are the team in this American League rivalry with good MLB betting lines to make the playoffs, with the Yankees having an underwhelming season.
In the series’ first game, the Blue Jays dominated, scoring seven runs and holding the Yankees to just one. They did so again in the second game, winning 6-1.

Starting Pitchers
Jose Berrios (11-10, 3.49 ERA) vs Gerrit Cole (13-4, 2.81)
Jose Berrios has been a significant part of the Blue Jays starting rotation, which leads the league in ERA. On top of that, there is an argument for him being the team’s best starter, with the highest ERA+ within the rotation. Berrios has proven that this month, with a 1.80 ERA in his three starts, allowing four runs in 20 innings and striking out 23 batters. His last appearance was good, pitching seven shutout innings with eight strikeouts.
Despite how good Berrios has been, the Yankees will get to start the likely AL Cy Young winner, Gerrit Cole. Cole is an overwhelming favorite, with his MLB odds to win the award at -1800. He is first in ERA and innings, then third in strikeouts and WHIP in the AL. However, he seemed to struggle in his last outing, only pitching five innings, allowing two runs off six hits, and only striking out four.

Blue Jays Offense Gets Bump
After struggling in the last two series, the Blue Jays offense got a big jolt in the first game against the Yankees. Two series ago, Toronto was swept by the Texas Rangers, scoring only nine runs in four games. Then, they swept the Boston Red Sox but never scored over four runs.
The pitching has been the anchor for the Blue Jays this season, and with Berrios on the mound, it makes them a great option for an MLB bet.

However, it does seem like the offense might be getting back on track. They hit three homers against the Yankees in Game 1, with George Springer and Bo Bichette hitting a long ball. They didn’t hit a homer in the second game, but Bichette had two more runs batted in. With Toronto’s offense improving going into the season’s final weeks, the team’s MLB lines to make the playoffs might improve, too.
Yankees Need Elite Outing From Cole
In a disappointing season for the Yankees, the one saving grace is that Cole will likely be the AL Cy Young winner. Our sportsbook has him as a resounding favorite, with Luis Castillo the closest pitcher behind him, with odds set at +1000.
There is a good chance he will continue his success against the Blue Jays, having already shut them twice this season. On April 22, Cole pitched 5.2 shutout innings against the Blue Jays, allowing six base runners and striking out four. Then, on May 17, he pitched six shutout innings, striking out six and allowing seven hits.
The Yankees will need another excellent performance from Cole to give their struggling lineup a chance against another quality starter.
Blue Jays vs Yankees Betting Lines
Blue Jays vs Yankees Best Bet
In Berrios’ only start against the Yankees this season, he pitched 6.2 innings, striking out six batters and allowing three runs. That is a pretty strong outing that paired well with how Cole has pitched against Toronto. Most Blue Jays vs Yankees predictions are leaning toward the under.
On top of that, outside of this series, the Blue Jays lineup has struggled, while the Yankees have been bad all season. They will be going up against two quilty starters, which will be challenging.
