Are You Ready for Baseball Betting?

Baseball is back, and that means MLB betting online is back. Opening Day is one of the greatest times of the year, and it should be a national holiday for bettors. There are seven games on the calendar today, so get ready for a wild ride.

One of the best games of the day will feature the Cleveland Guardians and Kansas City Royals. The first pitch from Kansas City is scheduled for 4:10 PM ET. Based on the money, MLB picks are coming in on the Guardians. MLB lines have the Guardians favored on the run line with a money line of -125. The Royals are +115, and the total has been set at eight runs.

Let’s check the latest MLB Picks, stats, injury reports, and MLB Odds for Team A vs Team B. We’ve plenty of MLB Predictions.

New Name New Era

The Cleveland Guardians will begin a new era, no longer playing as the Indians in 2022. The reason Cleveland will be successful in this game is because of Shane Bieber. Bieber must be sensational because the offensive firepower in Cleveland is lackluster.

The Guardians will be forced to win games with pitching all season, so, Opening Day will be a preview of the remainder of the year. Bieber is coming off an All-Star campaign when he posted a 3.17 ERA with a 7-4 record, however, he threw just 96.2 innings, so he will need to elevate his game to give the Guardians a chance.

The one player to watch in the lineup is Jose Ramirez. Ramirez is the player with the most significant pop in his bat, and I like him to deliver in this game against Zack Greinke. Franmil Reyes in the DH spot is also another name to keep an eye on against Greinke, who is not overpowering on the bump.

Greinke is Back

Baseball fans love Zack Greinke, but he should not be an Opening Day starter. If Greinke is being given the ball on Opening Day, it means the offense needs to deliver. Greinke threw 171 innings in 2021 as a 37-year-old and made three straight All-Star Games from 2017-to 2019, but his ERA is beginning to climb to the mid-fours. The saving grace for the pitcher is the offense he has around him in Kansas City.

Salvador Perez will lead the charge as one of the best hitting catchers in the game. This team also has Carlos Santana, Nicky Lopez, Whit Merrifield, and Andrew Benintendi. Benintendi will be the player to watch this season. Consistency was a major issue in 2021, so look for him to step up this year.

Guardians vs Royals Head-to-Head

These two teams face each other 19 times every season because they are in the same division. These teams have competed 48 times over the last three seasons, and Cleveland has dominated with a record of 31-17.

Guardians vs Royals Name Prediction

Opening Day is hard to bet because we have no experience seeing what these teams do under legitimate pressure. Spring Training can only tell us so much about how a club will perform. The Guardians have the advantage in this game because of their pitching. As good as Greinke has been, 2021 showed us he is not worthy of an Opening Day starter.

As long as Ramirez can drive in a few runs for the Guardians, I like them to win straight up in this contest. If you are looking to bet online at BETUS Sportsbook, I would go with the Cleveland money line at -125 and the over of eight. The offenses are not potent, but Greinke should give up a few runs.

Pick: Cleveland Guardians ML (-125)
