Entering the first of a four game series at home against the Cleveland Guardians, the Detroit Tigers, aka the hottest team in pro baseball, will be looking to make it 34 wins in the season tonight.

Coming in as favorites to win, one thing’s apparent: Whatever it is Detroit is doing right now is helping the Tigers become one of MLB’s best bets.

With veteran Jack Flaherty getting the start for the Tigers I’m breaking down the best MLB parlay picks today for this Guardians vs Tigers game.

My prediction

Tigers Moneyline (-127)

I’m all about everything the Detroit Tigers have been dishing out this season. They are strong on offense, sound on defense and have a solid pitching staff to back them. No wonder they come into this game with an MLB-best 33-17 record.

As long as Detroit’s offense takes full advantage of Cleveland’s starter Tanner Bibee, with a 4.06 ERA, and who is coming off taking five runs in a loss against the Cincinnati Reds, my MLB game prediction today is to bet on the Tigers’ moneyline and don’t look back.

Guardians vs Tigers Over 8 (-110)

The Guardians are not making any headlines this season because of their scoring powers, but you know who are? The Tigers.

Ranking 4th in runs scored – behind the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs – if there’s one thing Detroit’s offense knows how to do is put up runs.

Looking at recent MLB betting trends, the total has gone over in 26 Tigers games this season. Tonight, as they face Bibee, trust Detroit’s offense to take the final score over eight with a little help from Cleveland.

My Best Prop Bets

Jack Flaherty Under 5.5 Strikeouts (-148)

Making his 10th start this season, Tigers veteran starting pitcher Jack Flaherty continues to give me up and down moods every time he pitches. Take his last five games, for example, where he went 1-4.

But then check his last start against the Toronto Blue Jays. He pitched 5.2 innings of good ball with six strikeouts and two earned runs in what would end up being a 5-4 Tigers win.

Squaring off against a Guardians offense that’s one of the hardest teams in the league to strike out, I’m more intended to take Flaherty’s under in Ks at -148 than anything else.

Flaherty should be able to get enough support from his offense to pull off the win, but that doesn’t mean he’ll have an easy outing chasing Ks on the mound.

Riley Greene Over 0.5 Runs+RBIs (-108)

One of the best things about Detroit’s offense this season it’s that there are plenty of stars with firepower to make a killing betting on MLB prop picks.

For tonight, though, I’m leaning my focus on left fielder Riley Greene. While I feel tempted to chase his MLB home run prop today (1+ HR, +450), I choose to instead target his scoring prop.

Coming off a stretch over the last seven days in which Greene has scored five runs and had seven RBIs on nine hits, including two home runs, his over in runs+RBIs for tonight is too good to pass up.
