Guardians Hope to Cut Gap in AL Central
The Cleveland Guardians (25-31) and Minnesota Twins (30-27) meet on Friday for game two of a four-game series. According to MLB odds, the Guardians (+350) and Twins (-240) are the top favorites to win the American League Central, which is currently the weakest division in baseball.

Twins Looking to Go Yard
The Minnesota Twins are 3-1 over the last four games, including a 2-1 series win over the Houston Astros. The Twins have also scored at least seven runs in three of the last four games. They are one of the best slugging teams in baseball at 1.33 home runs per game (seventh). After going yard twice on Thursday, look for Minnesota to launch more long balls. First baseman Joey Gallo is a good choice for MLB betting as he leads the team with 11 homers.

Aaron Civale (1-1, 2.84 ERA) vs. Bailey Ober (3-2, 2.68)
Aaron Civale has been out since the first week of April with an oblique injury. Over his two starts, he is carrying career-best numbers with 2.84 ERA and 1.026 WHIP. Plus, Civale has yet to allow a home run. Minnesota heavily relies on dingers, ranking 23rd in batting average. However, this is a small sample size for Civale, and he could show rust after missing nearly two months of action.
Bailey Ober also missed a portion of the season, but he has been back since the last week of April. The third-year pitcher currently has career-best numbers with a 2.68 ERA and 1.017 WHIP. However, the Twins have lost their last two games with Ober on the mound. He pitched well in his last appearance with seven strikeouts, one walk and two earned runs in five innings. Minnesota has totaled one combined run in his last two starts. Will the Twins’ bats finally show up for Ober? MLB lines have Minnesota’s projected total at four.
