Guardians vs Yankees Series Preview Betting Keys
Will Sluggers Aaron Judge, Jose Ramirez Deliver? Bet Judge to Have +2 Home Runs
The Guardians and Yankees would not have won division titles without the consistent clutch hitter of Jose Ramirez and Aaron Judge, who should be among the top vote-getters in the American League Most Valuable Player race. However, it has been a grind for both of them in this year’s playoffs.
Ramirez is just 3-for-16 in five playoff games, though two of those hits have gone for extra bases. With 39 home runs and 41 stolen bases during the regular season, he fell just short of a 40-40 season. Only one of those home runs and one stolen base came against the Yankees as he hit .130 in six games versus New York this season.
This ALCS offers a chance for the likes of Aaron Boone and Aaron Judge to build a legacy of their own but the Guardians belong on this stage, too. @bnicholsonsmith sets the stage as the rivalry between two of the American League’s oldest teams resumes. https://t.co/Z8YQ58xEp4

Judge led the majors with 58 home runs and 144 RBIs in the regular season. He is 2-for-13 with five strikeouts in four playoff games. It is just a hunch that Judge will make his presence in this series.
Bet Aaron Judge to Have 2+ Home Runs in the Series (-190)
Rodon, Cole Give Yankees Series Edge over the Guardians
Left-hander Carlos Rodon has been named the Game 1 starter for the New York Yankees. He is hoping for a better outing after allowing seven hits and four runs with seven strikeouts in 3.2 innings in a loss to the Kansas City Royals in his first playoff start this season. Seven relievers for the Yankees have yet to allow an earned run in this year’s playoffs.
Cleveland doesn’t have a win from a starting pitcher so far in the postseason. However, Matthew Boyd and Tanner Bibee combined to allow two earned runs in 15.1 innings. Closer Emmanuel Clase was light’s out during the regular season but he did have a tough outing in one of his four appearances against the Detroit Tigers. That could factor into the MLB playoff predictions.
Alex Cobb, who only pitched three innings in his first playoff start this season, gets the ball for the Cleveland Guardians in Game 1. Looking ahead to Game 2, Gerrit Cole of the Yankees is 11-6 with a 2.94 ERA in 19 career playoff starts. Having two veterans like Rodon and Cole to pitch multiple times in this series could be enough for the Yankees to seal the deal.
In the #ALCS for the first time since 2016, Cleveland sends Alex Cobb to the mound against the Yankees’ Carlos Rodón in the start of the best-of-seven matchup. https://t.co/Uc5U7Xcjsa

The last time the Guardians and the Yankees met in the ALCS, it was the Yankees winning in six games. The MLB series odds are at +300 for that to happen again. Go with the Yankees powering their way past Cleveland in six games to reach the Fall Classic.
Bet on the Yankees to win the Series against the Guardians (-200)
Plenty of Player Props to Consider in ALCS
The Yankees were just 4-for-22 with runners in scoring position in the last three games of the series with the Kansas City Royals and each of those games landing under the total. With this being a seven-game series, there isn’t quite as much pressure heading into Game 1 so perhaps the sluggers from the Yankees will swing more freely.
There is a chance that first baseman Anthony Rizzo and pitcher Nestor Cortes could be on the ALCS roster for the Yankees. Along with Judge and Anthony Volpe, Rizzo was one of three Yankees to bat .375 or better against the Guardians this season with at least 10 at-bats. Keep that in mind when looking at the MLB player props in this series.

There are some intriguing options to make MLB player prop bets or to set up a parlay in the series opener.
Yankees shortstop Anthony Volpe hit .409 against the Guardians in the regular season so check out the -173 odds for Volpe to have at least one hit in Game 1. Check out the series prop odds for Volpe.
Josh Naylor probably deserved a better fate in the series with the Detroit Tigers than his four hits in 20 at-bats as he struck out just three times. He has been a clutch performer for the Guardians so take a look at the -130 odds in MLB lines for him to have at least six hits in the series.
We also like the even odds for Yankees outfielder Juan Soto to have at least two home runs in the series.
You can always keep it simple and go with Game 1 to land over the 7 ½-run total or the even odds on the Yankees to win Game 1 and the series for your MLB picks.
