Teams Continue Three-Game Series

Battle of Third-Place Teams

Both the Toronto Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners have slipped to third place in their respective divisions. Both teams need a reboot and a surge to get back on pace before the hole gets too big.

They are both at least seven games behind the front-runners in their respective divisions. The Blue Jays have the upper hand after taking Monday night’s series opener 6-2.

Let’s check the latest MLB picks, stats, injury reports, and MLB odds for Team A vs Team B. We’ve plenty of MLB predictions.

Milestone for Suarez

Seattle third baseman Eugenio Suarez belted his 200th career home run in the seventh inning on Monday. It was a solo home run and wasn’t very helpful in the grand scheme of things. It was just too little, too late.

The offense was anemic on Monday, only mustering four hits iand scoring both of their runs late in the game. This has been a sticking point for the Mariners all season.

Their offense just can’t seem to get things going consistently enough to keep putting wins together. They are 4-6 in their last 10 games and find themselves seven games out of first place in the American League West.

Young Logan Gilbert will be on the mound Tuesday night. He has been a bright spot for the starting rotation, sporting a 2.13 ERA, and is 4-1 record.

He tends to make it through five innings pretty well and needs to start pitching deeper into games. The last two outings have been a bit rougher for Gilbert, who is looking to regain his form from his first five starts.

Blue Jays Bouncing Back

After dropping a series to Tampa Bay over the weekend, the Blue Jays really needed to bounce back in a hurry. The 2022 season started off well for the Blue Jays, but they have really hit a skid, falling to third place in the AL East.

The Blue Jays let their bats do the talking and had a strong showing in a 6-2 win in their opening game against the Mariners. They collected 10 hits, backed by two home runs.

Bo Bichette got the party started with a home run in the first inning and collected three hits on the day. Matt Chapman added a home run in the second inning, punching the Mariners in the teeth early.

The key is that the Blue Jays have to get rolling like this as much as possible. Their inconsistency needs to go by the wayside.

Perhaps there is a lot of pressure on the offense to support a lackluster pitching staff, but they need to get back to putting up runs the way they can.

Mariners vs Blue Jays Head-to-Head

This is the first series of the season between the Mariners and Blue Jays. In 2021, the season series was 4-2 in favor of the Mariners.

Toronto’s Jose Berrios will oppose Gilbert. Berrios is continuing to make strides forward after a slow start to the season.

Mariners vs Blue Jays Prediction

The sportsbooks have the MLB lines for this matchup favoring the Blue Jays at -140.

The Blue Jays have the upper hand, and the Berrios has been strong as of late. And while a better bet looks like Toronto on the runline at +140, the Blue Jays are a measly 14-21 against the runline. That’s not looking like a safe bet.

This would be a good game to take the Blue Jays as the favorite and roll it into a three-game parlay bet.

When you bet online, take the moneyline win by the Blue Jays at -140 in a three-game parlay.
