Mets vs Braves Prediction Today, June 19, 2025

My prediction

  • New York Mets +1.5 (-180)

Just like we expected: the Braves took care of business yesterday against New York, mostly thanks to ace Chris Sale allowing just five hits through eight innings. But for tonight’s third matchup, I’m riding with the Orange and Blue on the MLB lines today. With the pitching matchup flipping a bit more even with right-hander Clay Holmes getting the start, and the Mets’ bats coming off a shutout, I see them waking up and adjusting.

Bet on New York Mets +1.5 (-180)

  • Mets vs Braves Over 9 Runs (+105)

Atlanta did all the heavy lifting yesterday, scoring five runs on their own. With fresh starters taking the mound for the third straight game, we’re due to see one another game break eight runs – and tonight’s the spot. The Mets are itching to bounce back after getting shut out by Sale, and the Braves bats have been in the zone, scoring 4+ runs in consecutive games. For your MLB futures betting, take the over.

Bet on Mets vs Braves Under 9 Runs (+105)

Mets vs Braves Prop Picks and Best Prop Bets

  • Ronny Mauricio Under 0.5 Hits (+108)

New York may have the edge in tonight’s pitching matchup on paper, but Atlanta’s Swider isn’t an arm to overlook. That’s why, for my MLB player props, I’m fading Mets SS Ronny Mauricio to go hitless tonight. Look, Mauricio’s been awful at the plate – batting .171 with 14 strikeouts this month alone. Factor in Swider coming off a 13-strikeout performance, and I don’t see how Mauricio snaps his slump and gets a hit.

Ronny Mauricio Under 0.5 Hits (+108)

  • Team With Most Hits – Braves (-125)

Here’s the deal: the Braves have outscored and out-hit New York in the past two matchups. While I don’t think the Mets will be iced as badly this time, I still have the Braves winning the hit count for my MLB game predictions. The Mets bats have been in a slump, and with Braves’ Swider coming off a 13-strikeout game, I see him keeping the Mets hitters just behind the Braves again.

Bet on Braves to Get Most Hits (-125)

  • Mets vs Braves NRFI (-122)

Previous matchups in this series saw a run in the first inning, but with tonight’s arms, this feels like a trap to say ‘yes.’ Swider’s coming off a strong outing, and New York’s Holmes has been lights out – with a 2.87 ERA on the season. With both starters dealing, I have the bats coming up empty in the first. Need more MLB prop picks? Say ‘no’ to a run scoring in the first.

Bet on Run in First Inning – NO (-122)
