The Mets have lost four of their last five and have scored a total of 10 runs in their last six games, an average of 1.7 per contest. Team-wide offensive slumps like these can persist for even longer stretches and not many guys are getting good swings right now for the New Yorkers. The last time the Mets saw Walker Buehler, he was mowing them down for four innings in an 8-0 win in the NLCS last fall.

Alonso’s driven in eight runs in that sample and this should be included in any list of MLB expert picks.
