Let’s not waste more time. Here are the best MLB player prop bets for Wednesday, each with the potential to boost your bankroll.

Today’s Top 2 MLB Player Props

1. Brewers SP Freddy Peralta 6+ Strikeouts (-128)

The Milwaukee Brewers will send their ace, Freddy Peralta, to the rubber Wednesday night when they battle the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park. The Brewers locked up the NL Central and will use these final five games as a tune-up for the playoffs. I’ve always been a massive fan of Peralta and love his pitch arsenal. The Brewers may not have wanted to trade away Corbin Burnes in the offseason, but knowing they had Peralta in the stable made things easier for them. Freddy is 11-8 this season with a 3.69 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP.

Peralta has been a bit more volatile than Milwaukee would have hoped, but he’s still an elite arm.

Peralta has exceeded this line in 20 of 31 starts. He has struggled with the Pirates lineup this season, but I’m willing to back him at this low number. The Pirates lineup has the seventh-highest K% since the All-Star break. Pittsburgh is sixth overall in K % this season. Freddy is in the 87th percentile in Whiff and 81st in K %! Fire up Freddy with confidence at BetUS Sportsbook.

Bet on Freddy Peralta 6+ Strikeouts (-124)

2. Dodgers SP Jack Flaherty Under 5½ Strikeouts (-137)

If you’ve followed along with my MLB picks this season, you’ll know how rarely I like to take Unders, but the San Diego Padres keep delivering these for us. I’m firing on one again with Jack Flaherty on the mound against San Diego. I rarely fade Flaherty, but the Padres lineup can be trusted, and this game will have an incredible playoff atmosphere. The Padres and Dodgers are separated by two games at the top of the NL West and will have both aces on the mound.

The Padres bats have consistently been among the best in the bigs. Since the All-Star break, they have been tied for second in wRC+ and second in batting average (.271). They are the hottest team in the league, with a 41-17 record since the break. They continue to limit strikeouts at the plate.

The Padres have the lowest K% in the league (16.9%) and have been striking out even less over the last two weeks. We’re getting a fair line here on Flaherty. The 28-year-old right-hander is in the 90th percentile in K and 91st in Whiff %, presenting a formidable challenge.

Flaherty is in his ninth MLB season and is another veteran who has re-ignited his career in 2024! He was a Cy Young candidate in his first few seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals to start his career, but he suffered numerous injuries and setbacks. His numbers fell off quite a bit since the 2020-Covid season, but he has been terrific in 2024.

Flaherty is still a top-end rotation arm and has proven that, ranking in the 76th percentile in xERA! Flaherty is finally healthy again, and the Dodgers need him to be great with numerous injuries to their starting rotation, but I’ll fade him here.

Flaherty is a stud, but 25 of the last 29 starting pitchers have finished below this line against the Padres! Trust San Diego tonight to limit the strikeouts against Flaherty. Looking for a good MLB player prop? Trust the Padres to stay hot.
