2 Best MLB Player Props 7/25/24
1. Angels SP Kenny Rosenberg Over 5+ Hits Allowed (-209)
Today is tricky, but don’t let that scare you off. You’re probably wondering why I am willing to trust the Oakland Athletics with my money. Well, let me explain. Oakland has been scorching hot. They took two of three from the Phillies before the break and, after the break, won four of six against the Angels and Astros! The A’s have been the hottest-hitting team in the league in July, batting .280.

They will be up against the Angels again, who will send 29-year-old southpaw Kenny Rosenberg to the rubber. Rosenberg has been up and down from the minors throughout his career. He owns a career 4.36 ERA in 12 appearances.
His most recent outing came against Oakland, and he allowed four hits in just four innings. However, he entered that game from the bullpen, and this will be his first start. He threw 95 pitches out of the pen in his first outing so we can expect him to be in this game into the 90-pitch mark today.
In case you didn’t know, cause it sure seems like some people don’t…

The A’s lead the league in wRC+ at 139 over the last month! Oakland has been phenomenal against lefties during this stretch with a 186 wRC+! Miguel Andujar and Brent Rooker have been on fire and are tremendous against lefties. Look for them to do damage, especially Andujar because he is 15 for 29 (.517 BA vs. LH). Looking for an MLB prediction? Trust Oakland to put together five hits against the lefty.
Bet on Kenny Rosenberg Over 5+ Hits Allowed (-209)
2. Angels 3B Luis Rengifo Over 1½ Total Bases(+124)

I’m a little sick to my stomach about betting on the Los Angeles Angels and Oakland Athletics, but I’ll live with the results. Despite the A’s offense being red-hot, they are still one of the worst teams in the league and will be sellers as the trade deadline approaches. They and the Angels will be extremely active between today and Tuesday’s trade deadline.
Oakland will send veteran righty Ross Stripling to the rubber in tonight’s series opener in hopes of giving him one more audition before they trade him. Stripling has made 11 starts this season and has been abysmal. He owns a 5.82 ERA and 1.60 WHIP in his 10th MLB season.

Stripling is coming off of the Injured List, so I don’t expect him to throw deep into tonight’s ballgame, but he should go through the Angels order at least twice. Stripling has allowed an opponent batting average of .325. He’s been owned by left-handed hitters with a .351/.374/.493 triple slash line against.

Switch-hitting Luis Rengifo is one of the biggest names to watch at the trade deadline. He is the only Halo batting over .300 this season; he is just one of 21 hitters in MLB batting over .300 since May 1. He just returned from a short stint on the IL on Tuesday and is 2 for 7 with a home run in his career against Stripling. Before his two weeks on the IL, he recorded two total bases in seven of his last eight games! Ride Rengifo with your MLB betting picks as he continues to audition ahead of the deadline.
