Teams Meet for the Second Day in Three-Game Series
Nationals Steal the Opener
The Washington Nationals will face the Atlanta Braves in the second game of a three-game series after shockingly blowing out their rivals on Monday.
The early-week matchup ended 11-2 in favor of the road team, marking their highest run total and tying their mark for the fewest runs allowed in the young season. Tuesday’s game offers them a chance to prove that win was not a fluke, while Atlanta will be looking to stabilize and defend their home field.

Let’s check the latest MLB Picks, stats, injury reports, and MLB Odds for tionals vs Braves. We’ve plenty of MLB Predictions.
Washington’s Show on the Road
The Washington Nationals were victims of many early MLB picks as they were penned to struggle and ultimately finish at the bottom of the National League East. They traded away most of their valuable assets, barring Juan Soto, and aside from free-agent signing Nelson Cruz, they have a mostly young and developing roster that is years away from contending.
Washington laid it on Atlanta Monday night. Maikel Franco recorded four base hits, including a home run, while pitcher Josh Rogers went 5.1 innings and gave up just one earned run.
Patrick Corbin will be on the bump for the visitors Tuesday night, posting a 4.50 ERA after he lost his only start of the season.
Atlanta Under Siege
The Atlanta Braves made a shock run to the World Series, where they ultimately defeated the Houston Astros in six games. The offseason saw them lose one of their best players, Freddie Freeman, to free agency, however, they brought back Matt Olson and will soon get a healthy Ronald Acuna Jr. back into the fold.
Olson has stood out offensively thus far, but the rest of the team has not. The Braves rank fifth-worst in combined batting average and have only hit three home runs, which explains why they have struggled to put numbers on the board.
The Braves have not yet named a starting pitcher for the matchup; theoretically, they should be back at the top of the rotation by now, but the team has not made their announcement.
Washington Nationals vs Atlanta Braves Name Head-to-Head
Washington won the lone meeting between the two teams this season as the underdog. The Braves went 14-5 against their divisional rivals last season en route to their league championship.
The Nationals dominated Atlanta in Monday’s matchup while showing they do have some life in spite of low expectations and a slow start. Atlanta needs to start hitting the ball better to have a chance in the matchup.

Washington Nationals vs Atlanta Braves Prediction
MLB odds, although they have not been released at the time of publication, we are likely to favor the Braves because of their overall-better roster and home-field advantage; however, there is money to be made betting online against the sportsbook.
The Nationals showed life in Monday’s win and did so with a pop in the bottom of the order— once “Nelly” Cruz and potential future MVP Soto get going, this team could play spoiler to a lot of other favored teams.
Once the Braves settle on a pitcher and the MLB lines come out, spend a lot of time seriously considering the Nationals’ spread; at this point, it is on Atlanta to prove they are legit after Washington showed them up in the first game.
