With MLB betting odds listing the Mets ML at -260, the value play is the run line, especially with David Peterson on the mound and the Mets averaging 5.3 runs over their last six.

Jake Irvin and Peterson might not be Cy Young candidates in the MLB futures odds, but they’ve both been solid enough to keep this game from spiraling. Irvin has only allowed more than 3 runs once in his last 4 starts while Peterson’s 2.64 ERA at home speaks for itself. Add in two bullpens that have been trending well and Washington’s inconsistent scoring, and I’m leaning toward the Under for one of my sharper MLB predictions today.

For my favorite MLB player prop picks today, I’m backing Francisco Lindor to stay hot. He’s hitting .282 with 14 home runs and a .488 slugging percentage, but what jumps out is his .385 career average vs Jake Irvin with a 1.077 OPS. Lindor also leads the Mets in hits against right-handed pitching this season and has 25 extra-base hits. If you’re tailing MLB expert picks today, this is an excellent value for a hitter with plus speed and gap power.

I’ll take the Over on Mets runs as one of my top MLB prop picks today.
