On Monday, the San Diego Padres vs. San Francisco Giants game features two pitchers with Cy Young-caliber talent in Blake Snell and Logan Webb.

Snell is getting the bulk of the MLB news as the odds-on favorite to take the Cy Young after an epic season for San Diego. Webb was at least in the conversation for the Cy Young at one point and will try to help San Francisco play spoiler to Snell’s aspirations.

In game one of this series, I want to skip over any wagers on sides or totals and instead create a tasty same-game parlay featuring Snell and Webb.

Let’s jump into our Padres vs. Giants Predictions for September 25 without further ado.

Same Game Pitcher Parlay

When I saw Snell was on the mound against the Giants on Monday, I knew instantly I planned to bet online in favor of his strikeout total. Snell leads the MLB odds to win the National League Cy Young Award this year and ranks fourth in the MLB with 227 strikeouts. The lefty has eclipsed 7.5 strikeouts in six straight games and nine of his last 10 starts.

I don’t use the term lock lightly, but with the Giants ranking 26th in strikeouts on offense, Snell’s strikeout prop is among the best bets for Padres vs. Giants after notching 19 in his previous two starts against San Fran.

Webb isn’t as prolific of a strikeout pitcher, nor are the Padres as successful in swinging misses. Despite that, I think his total at just 4.5 is very beatable. He won’t win the Cy Young this year, but he was a candidate and still has MLB odds listed, albeit at +10000.

The Giants are just 1-6 in Webb’s last seven starts, but he’s logged at least four strikeouts in five straight while going 2-2 against this line in his previous four starts. Plus, the Padres get struck out more than one extra time per game when playing on the road. That one strikeout will go a long way to help Webb cash this prop.
